Credit Cards with Zero International Transaction Fee and Instant Usability?

Hi, my 28 Degrees credit card just got blocked and replaced.

Trouble is that I've backed a Kickstarter and am reliant on this card to pay. I'm not sure if I'll get the replacement card in time. But it's unlikely.

Are there any cards that can be accessed digitally straight away and are free of foreign transaction fees?

Yeah but are any usable instantly? I can't wait for the physical card to arrive

      • What debit card you have?

All are now available to use of Apple Pay and Google Pay from the time they are approved

        • Why change your name but continue to reply to the top thread? Makes no sense.

      • Well, go through the list, when it says, an e-card is available, usually instant and the approval process is usually faster on the major bank or the bank you already banking with.

      • The Latitude 28 Degrees card normally has instant approval and can be used immediately via Google Wallet or Apple Pay.

EDIT: Ah - didn't realise you just got blocked from them, lol.

        • I specifically asked them if I could activate and use a digital version before the physical replacement arrives, they said no

CBA looks good in this link but I used it recently and the FX rate was significantly worse than Wise debit card.

You have 7 days to fix it from when they start charging. How much longer for your new card to arrive?

Worst case sign up for a Macquarie or Up account and dump your money in there, close account once it is charged. Both give you instant access via the app.

    • About that long. It's chancy (East coast to West coast transit)

Just borrow someone else's and pay them back.

I wish. I doubt anyone I know even understands this stuff

Maybe it's not such a bad thing you can't pay kickstarter if it ends up being vaporware

For a once off purchase, surely you can suck up some intl fees?

  • NAB Signature Rewards is available immediately via the app once approved.

    • Just be aware NAB have put the monthly fee up from $24 to $35 unless you spend $5k per statement period.

      • Yep, unfortunately am aware :(

I've updated the wiki to reflect it too

      • Ouch
        That's horrendous
