Is Anyone Else Still Waiting for a Samsung Galaxy S25 or S25 Ultra Pre-Order from JB Hi-Fi?

I purchased Samsung S25 during the pre-order sales on 13th (last day of the sale). At the time the sales guy told me I'll probably be getting the phone next day. But I haven't received it yet. JB Hi-Fi telling me they haven't received my device and they can't even give an ETA.

Does it take this long usually ? If so how long should I wait ?

Exact same situation as you. Not sure about this but you could try cancel the order to get gift cards for the value of the phone and buy something else in stock instead if you’re desperate.

    • Sad to hear. I can wait. But just was wondering if it's just me as I have seen many got their phones right away with the pre-order. So, just wanted to know if this is kind of usual. Then we'll get ours soon :)

  • for some reason all base S25 512GB models are on a national shortage, we are all experiencing the same issues here at HN.

I’m sorry to hear that you are at Harvey Norman, sending thoughts and prayers

    • Oh shit :/

I think it's best to try and get a full refund for the phone, or try to exchange it for a different model of you're desperate for a new phone. Personally if a refund was offered I'd definitely take it as the phone is not worth the RRP.

    • Please, don't stop there, go into detail about the phone not being worth the RRP.

Side-note: most of these people are taking advantage of an earlier deal where they can own the phone outright for under $600

For most people who do not need a new phone urgently and are in this situation, it is much better to get a refund of a $1587 JB HiFi gift card than waiting for the phone, as it's possible to buy it cheaper elsewhere currently, or you could wait for the pre-order deals next year to get the S26 for a very similar price.

I bought the S25 from JB HiFi for $527 (managed to get first month refunded through chat).
The good: bright OLED display, fast SD 8 elite chip, 12GB RAM on base model, WiFi 7, new flat edge design, AI features, more reliable fingerprint sensor (compared to my old S21).
The bad: less customizable task changer ("List" option removed), white bar issue with Camera Cutout settings, hotspot limited to WiFi 6e, OLED with 8 bit colour, anti reflective coating limited to Ultra model, same cameras as before with no autofocus on ultrawide camera.

I'm not saying you can get a better phone for the money, but if you're not upgrading from something ancient or broken, it's probably wise to take the refund and spend the money on something else.

        • Wow, this is super technical, but also super helpful.

          Honestly, thankyou <3

        • I got it for the deal. Costed me the same (was able to get the refund of first month through chat. So, I think it's fine for $527.Not planning on selling this. So, I can't get a refund and even if so it'll just be the same $527 which costed me which I don't think worth as I won't be able to get anything similar for that price.
So, I'm fine with waiting as I don't need this urgently.

@perthguy92: If you get a refund it will likely be for the gift card amount printed on the receipt, which should be $1387 (forgot the free storage upgrade previously). You can always confirm the refund amount before deciding how to proceed.

            • @AwesomeAndrew: wow ! Gonna check this then. I'm not much in need of a phone because I have a Pixel 7 running well. Just went for this as it seems to be a great deal

@AwesomeAndrew: Just called and checked with them. They said it'll be $1387 I'll get refunded as a gift card. But I need to do it in store. So, will be going for that. I wasn't in need of a phone. Just liked to switch to a Samsung which I haven't ever used.

It's surprising to me because it costed me just $527 to buy the phone, but I'm getting refunded $1387

@AwesomeAndrew: To give an update, I got a refund. Surprisingly they refunded me the whole amount. Meaning I was able to get a gift card worth $1387, only for $527 .
Thanks a lot for the suggestion mate

              • @perthguy92: Wow! That's incredible… a little jealous actually :D
I'm curious how you all managed to get the phone down to $527? Even though I only just replaced my battery in December, I thought to purchase S25 from my current S10 (which I've had for 5.5 years). Tbh, I was hoping to get away with another year on this phone… it's still working. The best I can get for 512GB with all the $150 trade-in bonus and $200 worth of discount codes through Samsung App is $982. Potentially, they might offer an extra 10% off if I pay with Samsung Wallet.

      • Imagine if it was an iphone :)

  • Same with me, Pre-ordered mine from Amazon on the 13th of Feb because it came with $200 credits to buy samsung accessories. Hasn't been shipped out and when I contacted Amazon on wednesday they said they will contact the distribution centre and I havent heard anything since

  • I stilll havent got it yet top. Bougjt it same time

    • Cancelled the phone and got a 1347$ worth gift card which works for me since I wasn't in a need of a phone actually
