What's the cheapest plan to port to just so I can port back in to Felix as a new customer for discounts? Any $10 prepaid recharges or anything cheaper? esim pref

The $2 Telstra sims allow you to activate and port in without adding any credit. (fairly well hidden option if I recall correctly but it is there).

    • Yes, it still allows this month. If one can't justify the $2 waste, just buy a proper short term plan.

  • $5 aldi is my go to

  • Yomojo first month free

You can't port a number in for the free trial

New number will be issued on sign-up (port-in not available).

      • Good point!

  • Anyone know if there's a minimum wait time before porting back in? I'm with Optus, have a $2 Telstra SIM, want to port out and back in to Optus. Do I need to stay with Telstra for a minimum amount of time or can I leave the same day?

$2 Telstra sim requires a recharge from memory, so $30 minimum or something

      Usually no minimum term

      • I've seen comments suggesting it didn't require a recharge / it's people's choice when needing to port out/back in… hmm

        • havent tried it myself, not sure

I know optus $2 sims require a recharge

          • @Dyl: I just ported over, no recharge required (after verifying your ID it presents you with recharge options, down the bottom there's an option to continue without recharging)

            • @johnnytran: Neat, I'll get a $2 sim then!

It's only to keep rotating Felix discounts

I lost my $20 365 day travel pack, but $20/mo off for 6 months so it's worth it

          • @Dyl: Optus allowed activation before via this trick, but not possible after the data breach in 2022.
