Priced too high, Plenty competitors offering the same unit installed for $1000 ~ $1200.

    • Care to share who??

      • O'Brien Plumbing in Rowville did mine(Emerald 270L) for ~1k(after rebates) in Nov 23

Mine was Aust. Green Solution six or so months back. They came all the way out to bloody Morwell and after around 160 from memory in travel cost it was still only around 1050.

Removed my old shitty dead gas heater too. The whole thing actually would have been less, it included a current isolating switch or something similarly named but we got that 150 back bc in the end we had a switchboard upgrade separate that negated the need for it. So probably around 900 total in the end. That also included them installing another 2 power points for access which has worked out convenient for when I've needed to plug an electric saw in outside actually. I'll stop rambling now, point being, yeah dude, plenty of options.

geez they're dropping in price, when i looked 4yrs ago the cheapies were $3500+ and the decent omes were $5500+.

    • It is more that Victoria has very generous rebates.

      • IF you qualify

I've seen ads for $700 for other brands, I would guess they're just as good as emerald.

    Nothing special about this pricing

  • Anything for NSW?

    • NSW doesn't have an equivalent scheme to Victoria for removing old gas appliances, as far as im aware. That's why the price of these is low.

These units do, at least, look quite a bit sleeker than the more common Chromagen/Midea units rolling around, with the separate inverter.

Won't bother with a deal post like this without the full non-rebated price in the title or body.
