@Aiper: Just so everyone is aware the Aiper rep is not able to offer this despite their statement. I pmed the rep who then told me I have to contact customer support. I then contacted customer support and they told me they are unable to offer any partial refund to an order authorised by this rep.

@shadow90210: Scuba S1 can clean walls, surfer S1 cleans the water surface. Neither has app control, the new 2025 model has app control. Scuba S1 has a battery life of 150 minutes and a charging time of 3-4 hours.

I have a kidney shaped pool with a curved bottom, do you suggest the s1 or s1 pro, I heard the s1 doesn't do too well on curved pools
It is recommended to choose S1 Pro, because S1 Pro supports the function of ray path, which can effectively avoid getting stuck and provide more comprehensive coverage for large slopes and curved pool bottoms. At the same time, S1 Pro's cleaning ability itself will be stronger.

Generally speaking, charge it, put it in the pool, take it out when you have time, clean the bin, check the battery level, put it back in, it's that simple.

Does anyone have experience using these in pools with right-angled (90*) corners from pool floor to wall (ie. non curved). I've purchased automated cleaners in the past that claim to be able to easily climb walls with right-angled corners and they don't have the power to turn up, from the floor.
Also - any issue gripping and cleaning pool walls made from tiles (I know, it says its suitable, but that doesn't necessarily mean its great at it..)
Do Aiper pool cleaners have hard tracks? Are they recommended for epoxy painted pools?

The tracks of our robot are made of soft rubber material and will not damage the swimming pool. Secondly, swimming pools that support epoxy coating.
My S1 keeps head up. Whenever I cleaned the filter, it works for only 30 seconds. Then it keeps head up. It's so annoying.
You can try to contact Aiper's customer service, they will solve it for you.
I did it. Aiper suggested update of firmware. but, it doesn't work. If floor is dirty or there are many leaves, S1 keeps heading up and lost track. S1 wasted nearly 2 hours under pool. S1 requires very clean floor to work properly.
How do you update the firmware? It has no connectivity. You talking about the same model?

I have the same issue with S1 Pro. Currently trying to sort it out with their CS. The front end kept tilting up 45 degrees. So it rollled over most leaves not picking them up.
I bought the Aiper Scuba E1 from Costco Gold Coast a while ago. The best Elec product I bought from there in years, use it every day. A crystal clear pool for a Happy wife, 2 happy kids plus a cheerful husband. Now I need a Surfer one:)

I'm guessing that the S1 isn't really the best for sand given it just has the basket filter? Would the S1 Pro be better suited for removing fine matter?
Both clog up very quickly with fine matter.

Can the battery on these be replaced by the owner?
I'd hate to have to throw out the whole thing when the battery finally calls it quits. (I assume some years down the track)
Because the machine has to meet strict waterproof and reliability requirements, the battery is sealed layer by layer and cannot be replaced by the user.
Where do you get the machine fixed while under warranty if you don't live in a major city. I've read horror story after horror story about Aiper's poor customer support in this area.
Our 3 local pool supply shops will not sell or touch any Aiper products, all of them recommend Inverx X80 cleaners for floor/wall/waterline mode. 3 motors,14ah battery,4.5hr endurance time if using all those modes or 8hrs just on floor mode and charging time is 8hrs. Controlled by your mobile. They're not cheap with the X80 going for $2300 the smallest one X30 with a 2hr floor/wall/waterline mode and 5.2ah battery at $1700
I'm still in the market for one and have been looking at all the various models Aiper puts out but the hassle of getting the thing fixed if needed is a worry.

If pool is salt water, DO NOT Buy this.
My machine ha sissue that head keeps tilting up.
Aiper customer said "If the machine has been lifting since the first time it was used, and the problem persists. This should be related to the salt water pool. The machine is not compatible with your pool."
Aiper never mentions that their product is not compatioble with salt water.
No issues in my salt pool.

Have had great service by Aiper overall. Only issue I still have with this model is quite often it drops debris when taking it out of the pool. The hatch is often wedged open.
But for $599. Nothing too major to complain about.
