@Aiper: Can you please provide a code for the Scuba S1 Pro? It would be great if you could beat the previous low of $764.99 from this deal in November:
                    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/881611

                    • @mrh68: It's hard to get that price right now because it was Black Friday.

                      • @Aiper: Understood. Many within this group would still appreciate your best deal within this thread regardless.

                  • @Aiper: Noooo I wanted a deal on the solar charger for it!

                    • @Bigfellaborham: Solar chargers may not have deals, usually only product deals.

                  • @Aiper: This is the same price in Amazon anyway.

                  • @Aiper: Does this clean both floor and walls? And between the solar surfer s1 and scuba s1, which one has app controls.

Could you also tell scuba s1 batter life and the time it takes to recharge?

    • How long you been using it for? Have been in the market for a cleaner for a while now but really wanted to wait for some real life testimonials on these Aiper units

  • Do you have any promotion on Aiper Surfer S1 Cordless Robotic Pool Skimmer? Thanks

    • I can request one, but ozbargain won't let me post frequently.

      • +1

Hi, can you put add this promotion for Aiper Surfer S1? I want to buy one. Thanks

        • +3

I'll try to post one in a few days, if Ozbargain allows.

          • +1

@Aiper: Any timeframe on when the upgraded Surfer S2 will reach Australia? Seems like it is a much better version than the S1.

            • @Zurui: If this is the case, I will wait to have S2 then. Thanks.

            • @Zurui: Maybe there will be news in April.

  • S1 Pro?

I missed out when they were closer to $800

    • This is the Scuba S1, not the Scuba S1 Pro.

      • How much is the S1 Pro?

        • +1

For others interested in S1 Pro like me, the Aiper AU website price is $1,299.99, and using the code AFF15 (just checked and the code still works) brings the price down to $1,104.99. Hope we get a better deal from Aiper rep soon.

    Questions:
    1. What does "Solar Charging Optional" mean? Do I need to pay for some accessories for it to work?
    2. Does it have an app to control the robot in water?
    3. Is this a more premium model than Seagull?

      1. What does "Solar Charging Optional" mean? Do I need to pay for some accessories for it to work?
Correction: Scuba S1 cannot be charged by solar
      2. Does it have an app to control the robot in water?
        No, Scuba X series can
      3. Is this a more premium model than Seagull?
        Yes

I have a kidney shaped pool with a curved bottom, do you suggest the s1 or s1 pro, I heard the s1 doesn't do too well on curved pools

    • It is recommended to choose S1 Pro, because S1 Pro supports the function of ray path, which can effectively avoid getting stuck and provide more comprehensive coverage for large slopes and curved pool bottoms. At the same time, S1 Pro's cleaning ability itself will be stronger.

At the same time, we launched the new product Scuba X1 in 2025, which has further enhanced cleaning ability and escape ability compared to S1 Pro.

      • What's the pricing on the X1 Pro? Website just says "coming soon".

  • Can these be left in the pool all the time? Or do they need to be put on to clean and then removed etc? (Saltwater)

    • Do you mean whether the robot can stay in the water or something else?

      • Yeah wanting to know whether it can just be left in there and essentially scheduled to clean daily or similar

        • +2

Generally speaking, charge it, put it in the pool, take it out when you have time, clean the bin, check the battery level, put it back in, it's that simple.

@Aiper Really keen on S1 Pro, it will be awesome if you can add the code for S1 Pro to this deal, saves the hassle of posting a separate deal.

  • +2

This looks awesome. Now all I need is a pool.

    • Any deals on ready-to-swim pools?

  • Very tempted @Aiper, thanks for sharing this deal!

Does anyone have experience using these in pools with right-angled (90*) corners from pool floor to wall (ie. non curved). I've purchased automated cleaners in the past that claim to be able to easily climb walls with right-angled corners and they don't have the power to turn up, from the floor.

Also - any issue gripping and cleaning pool walls made from tiles (I know, it says its suitable, but that doesn't necessarily mean its great at it..)

  • Do Aiper pool cleaners have hard tracks? Are they recommended for epoxy painted pools?
    https://luxapool.com.au/luxapool-epoxy-swimming-pool-coating…

    • The tracks of our robot are made of soft rubber material and will not damage the swimming pool. Secondly, swimming pools that support epoxy coating.

  • My S1 keeps head up. Whenever I cleaned the filter, it works for only 30 seconds. Then it keeps head up. It's so annoying.

    • You can try to contact Aiper's customer service, they will solve it for you.

      • I did it. Aiper suggested update of firmware. but, it doesn't work. If floor is dirty or there are many leaves, S1 keeps heading up and lost track. S1 wasted nearly 2 hours under pool. S1 requires very clean floor to work properly.

    • I have the same issue with S1 Pro. Currently trying to sort it out with their CS. The front end kept tilting up 45 degrees. So it rollled over most leaves not picking them up.

  • I bought the Aiper Scuba E1 from Costco Gold Coast a while ago. The best Elec product I bought from there in years, use it every day. A crystal clear pool for a Happy wife, 2 happy kids plus a cheerful husband. Now I need a Surfer one:)

    • Thank you for your positive review! Please look forward to my Surfer Deal.

I too would love to hear about the Pro model and would be interested in a promo code from the rep.

    • Please stay tuned, ozbargain does not allow me to post deals too often.

      • Can you just post the code here within this same listing?

      • I'm guessing that the S1 isn't really the best for sand given it just has the basket filter? Would the S1 Pro be better suited for removing fine matter?

        • Both clog up very quickly with fine matter.

    Hey OP ( @Aiper ).

Can the battery on these be replaced by the owner?

I'd hate to have to throw out the whole thing when the battery finally calls it quits. (I assume some years down the track)

    • +2

Because the machine has to meet strict waterproof and reliability requirements, the battery is sealed layer by layer and cannot be replaced by the user.
