  • the GT5, u might need US account for the extra DLC?

    • This is the XL edition, unlike the regular edition the majority of the DLC and game patches are already preinstalled on the game disc.

    • from comments on gt5 xl page:
"great game, love it. but make sure you have an US account as the voucher needs to be redeemed under US account."

Be good to post normal links ;)

Why? You don't like affiliates? What does it cost you?

  • Do you actually represent Play Asia, or are you only Rep because you are using affiliate links?

  • why get Gran Turismo 5: XL from play asia when you can get Gran Turismo 5: Academy Edition PAL version from the hut or zavvi for $23.29 maybe cheaper if you can get hold of a discount code.

  • Be warned that there are major game breaking bugs in TWD collection. The individual episodes don't have these problems.

    • What like mate?

      • Save game data randomly getting wiped is one of them…

  • $33.00 for Walking Dead? That's so expensive compared to the PC version—ie, $12.50 after Amazon's and Steam's frequently occurring 50% discount.

    • As you said it's for PC.

    • PC things are always cheaper than consoles. That's the way it is. To find full priced games (not indie or download only) released in recent years for discounted to $5-10 on PSN/XBLA is extremely rare.

Also, you're comparing download prices against disc based prices. Most of these dirt cheap bargains on Steam are not available on disc for these kind of prices.

      • Microsoft had Walking Dead for $10 yesterday. Episode 1 free, the rest at $2.50 apiece. Really this is only a deal for PS3.

        • Is that the downloaded episodes? Because this PS3 game on Play-asia is a retail copy. I'd like to know what MS charges for the retail collection (5 episodes on disc).

I doubt it will be $10.

Also, TWD doesn't count as a full priced game. That the collection released on disc afterwards doesn't change that the game was designed as a downloadable episodic format. So if you're disputing my point about Steam sales selling retail release games in digital format for $5 being unmatched by consoles… it still stands.

TWD was never a US$60 (or AU$120) game.
