Mesh Wi-Fi Router with a USB Port

I'm thinking of getting a TP Link xe75 for the house, however, I don't like that it doesn't have a USB which I use to share movies to our TVs.

Is there an option to attach network storage to it or maybe a different router?

  • You could just connect your current router with a USB port into the mesh network.

A raspberry pi would work as well, if you're technically inclined.

  • The asus aimesh setups are pretty decent; you can mix and match their routers

Was hoping to get into wifi 6e. XT8 is good and has a usb port but only on wifi 6. Plus it's way pricier.

  • Purchase a NAS and use an ethernet cable to plug it into the Deco XE75. Synology is a good NAS option.

    These Wi-Fi 7 Deco's have a built-in USB port.

    TP-Link Deco USB port
    TP-Link Deco BE65 1x USB 3.0 port
    TP-Link Deco BE65 Pro 1x USB 2.0 port (vomits)
    TP-Link Deco BE85 1x USB 3.0 port
  • Merged from TP-Link Deco BE65 from Amazon Japan

Does anyone know if there's a difference between this unit than the one sold here locally? Pretty good for AUD$445 shipped.

Power packs will have the wrong plugs.

Limited to no Warranty (just what Amazon will offer).

Generally you can set the country from the app, so shouldn't be any real differences if you can pick AU.

$599 locally, so a saving of $154. Not sure it is worth it in my books, I would pay that not to use adaptors.

I bent the prongs to match au/nz and it worked fine ..not sure if thats safe but it worked

        • Can be done, but isn't a very nice solution. You run the risk of breaking the prong/plug and the plus doesn't always seat correctly.

    • Cheers!
