  • ugh not this garbage again.

      ok……

  • +4

this spam again, admin remove pls

  • Is this thing now worth it at AU$359? Even if its capacity is only half of that, at AU$359, that's cheaper than a self made inverter and battery setup?

    • This is new.

    • +4

I've just bought it and willing to take my chances and try them out at this price. Hope it didn't let me down.

I own 4 Ecoflow (River Pro, River 2 Pro, River Mini, and River 2 Mini), Bluetti AC180, Zendure Superbase Pro 2000, and Allpower S200.
My Ecoflow River Pro (NMC battery) only has less than 50% capacity even after light use and less than 50 cycle (I suspect possibly one (or more) battery cell in their 8S10P arrangement pack goes bad and it severely affect the capacity).
I've tried Allpower R1500 but I have to returned it for full refund as something inside (I assume it is a capacitor) exploded, continue to producing small crackle, and emit smoke as soon as I plug it into power outlet to charge for the first time.
The unit then refused to be charged using AC inlet. DC charge is not affected. They originally refused to arrange for return even though I bought it from their eBay store, and I have to claim eBay protection. Not going to buy Allpower again after the fiasco dealing with their useless customer service and refund process.

  • Am I missing something :)
    Edit: I see USD lol

    • +1

Sorry, yes price is in USD.

      • I already have two NEO2000 Portable Power Station but if it were $359+postage cost $80 than I would probably have got a 3rd one :)

        • lol, so do you own bluetti or jackery something else ? Only DR ?

        • Any issues with yours? The reviews out there seem to indicate it does what it says it does. There was one review where he tried to push it pass the 2,000 W output and the thing just kept on going, rather than going off automatically.

          • -1

@Rod911: there many honest reviews on slickdeals, thats 100% true reviews, some good some bad. You can simply check them and make your own decision.

          • @Rod911: Only a few small issues,
it does its job so can't complain and the customer service so far has been good :)

  • 2073.6wh for $359, what's going on?

    • -1

      its clearance

      • New model coming out or?

        • +2

Yes there a few came out but has not shipped to AU warehouse yet.

        • But you didnt know how many items we shipped to AU , the shipping fee almost same as the products.

      • -3

        It's a scam!

        • How do you know?
I got two units and also got replacement for faulty unit shipped out express without any additional charges…
Even the return is paid by them and carrier pickup from home

Edit: Anyways, I`ll leave it at that and you guys make up your own mind decision lol

  • Is this item located in an Australian warehouse?

    • Yes its in AU, thats why no GST in title.

      • No Australia shipping option available..

        • +2

Australia is in the first place of delivery option, pls check again, then apply the coupon code.

          • @nicolasmax46: Australia shipping option was missing yesterday.

            • +2

@armageddeus: The site bugged sometimes, the IT guys fixed, now it should be working.

  • Please see other Ozbargain posts for this before looking further into this

    • this is a clearance sales deal, well i didnt write AU warehouse and AUD in title. But this deal will be gone soon.

  • +1

First time for me to see this deal.
Capacity and form wise, looks like a bargain to me…
If I had a need for it, why not ??

    • Thanks for the understanding.

  • Capacity is good, i mean the best deal was that yardforce before.

for this price, and 5 years warranty?…seems to be a good deal. what is the catch? support? quality?

    • +1

Yep support appears to be an issue going off the lack of response in previous posts. See comment here from @m9.

    • Yea, the Yard force ended up having heaps of bad units. Not a matter of if it fails, but when.

      • +1

At least Yardforce was able to provide a refund, but yeah yardforce quality was questionable.

    • -1

Company won't exist after the sell all these products.

      • Is this id solidice registered by bluetti or ecoflow rep?

    • +4

If there are any issues with the product, you can contact our after-sales service email at [email protected]. We will respond within 24 hours.

Since this is a clearance sale, we are unable to offer returns or exchanges to buyers. If the product is faulty and unusable, you can send us a video. We will then provide a refund to the buyer.

      • Thanks for the additional clarification regarding returns / exchanges

      • @nicolasmax46 - I contacted support several times because the unit I was sent appears to be faulty. when discharging it dies at 18%, and when charging it suddenly jumps to 100%. Support advised to fully discharge then fully charge 2 times to recalibrate the battery but that didn't work. I took videos and sent them to support:

        https://youtu.be/Iou_M_L-_ds
        https://youtu.be/PTxvVXWdXzQ

Support stopped responding. Please could you do something about this?

  • +1

Why so many associated accounts just to keep posting this one product?

    • +1

Wondering the same.. I tried ringing the customer support number and is non-reachable. Address looks like a temporary business front.

      • Being wary that warranty might be non-existant. Address is in a business tower with many other businesses.

  • Didn't someone post this terrible deal yesterday?

    • +2

Not just yesterday… They keep making new accounts and spamming this rubbish… Need the site to be banned

      • 100%

      • account is less than 24hours old.
ok def too good to be true.

  • +1

Needs to be banned for spam :/

  • good thing i kept on reading to the end of the thread. Was wanting a 2nd unit to my EcoFlow Delta 2 Max. Maybe not with this deal.

    • LoL, What changed your mind?

    • -3

Great, no one should be risking setting their house on fire by using cheap batteries

      • I just wonder—has anyone actually bought one of these and had it burn their house down? If so, you’d probably be entitled to a million-dollar lawsuit payout.

  • The code specifically needs to be NEO2000 AU WITH THE SPACE. That is a silly idea.

    • -1

yes I also think the new sales guy is silly, but thats part of life.

      • Easily fixable though.

        • +3

I have fixed it to NEO2000AU

  • +3

Regardless of the negative comments the youtube videos I have seen on this whilst mostly in the US and likely paid for in some way have been mostly positive - I have a bunch of different power stations - some from well known brands like ecoflow/bluetti, then lesser brands vtoman and voltx, and finally vigorpool - I thought I'd buy one to compare..

Obviously warranty/support, etc. varies but I've seen so many bad things written about the well known brands. Ironically out of everything so far the vigorpool have been the favourite to use for UPS - I don't put a lot of load on them but running at around 300w I have 2 in place as battery backup for the computer and TV and related devices, alongside a mini fridge/frezer - these got me through 5-6 hours while my power was out only last week and run almost completely silently.

I have an Ecoflow river 2 which is backup for my ubqiti setup for keeping the internet up which also gives me a good few hours, and the voltx (as it doesn't do true UPS but passthrough power but has a huge 3kw battery and is as noisy as a server) as backup for my servers and another fridge freezer..

I suspect the NEO2000 might be better than the comments on each of the posts show but I don't expect warranty/support to be worthwhile - so long as it works when it comes I guess and no fire!! I suspect most hate the dodgy looking business address / repeat spam of ozbargain, etc. - but the posts have been allowed each time and with the repeat posts I expect I would have seen a lot more complaints if people had been scammed.

    • The DaranEner NEO2000 portable power station is equipped with advanced battery management and cell balancing systems. It utilizes EV-grade LiFePO4 batteries, known for their durability and safety, maintaining 80% capacity after 3,500 cycles and 50% after 6,500 cycles.

Regarding warranty and support, DaranEner offers a standard 24-month warranty, which can be extended to 60 months upon registration.

This extended warranty reflects the company's confidence in the product's longevity and performance.

While some users have expressed concerns about the company's address and online presence, the consistent availability of posts and the lack of widespread complaints suggest that these issues may not significantly impact the overall customer experience.

In summary, the NEO2000 appears to be a reliable and well-supported option for those seeking a portable power station, offering robust features and a substantial warranty.

      • A couple of things I would like to clarify..

I didn't see mention of an app / IoT automation anywhere so I'm guessing that and the benefits of app control (e.g. battery maintenance via slower charging/80% max charge while being used as a UPS don't exist?

Regarding UPS, is it a true UPS or does it do passthrough charging (i.e. is the inverter engaged all the time or does it bypass the inverter while power is connected?) - I know it doesn't have USB for UPS but what is the switchover time? Is it good enough for computers, etc.?

I noticed on some of the power stations they auto power down when no power is drawn which causes issues with running a portable fridge/freezer for example, especially over the DC/car charger port - is this supported?

        • About the app: we currently have no app control
About UPS: Only AC outlets support UPS function, switching time is less than 20 milliseconds (equivalent to blinking once), computer friendly
DC port does not support UPS function, so there will be automatic power off when there is no power input

          • @nicolasmax46: The unit I ordered just arrived… The only thing I have done so far is plug it into AC to charge - It came with 70% charge… Something odd happened while charging - it charged to 93% normally - then suddenly jumped to 100% - I took a video of it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N8vbjLIf0KE -
Is this a battery management system issue?

            • @evanssm2jp: Hi Nicholas,

These are the videos I've sent to Chloe at support:

              https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N8vbjLIf0KE
              https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iou_M_L-_ds
              https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PTxvVXWdXzQ

I got replies fairly quickly - testing charge/full discharge several times to 'realibrate' the Battery management system as per the advice from support.

              My findings…

between 18% and 82% it charges/discharges but the BMS doesn't recalibrate no matter how many times the unit is charged/discharged… I do have concerns that if the BMS is faulty like this, how can I know it's safe? I've seen lithium battery fires and they are terrifying..

Support didn't respond since I sent the message yesterday - I wan to know if it's safe to keep this thing in my home?

Please could you let me know what to do next?

    • +4

Yeah I'm not getting all the negs. Super cheap for sure but sometimes that happens. Maybe consider CC protections? Online reviews seem ok, have seen a couple negative takes but that's true for most things.

I wish @luigough would get involved with this one for an actual, honest review.

  • Another unexpected power outage today thanks but no thanks AusNet

    • +1

I dont understand but this rarely happen in China now, in my memo maybe 5 - 10 years 1 time. GL btw…

      • +3

Old outdated infrastructure poorly maintained with a main vision of capitalism profiteering besides living a far distance from city metro area in regional country farmland area we are forgotten and not prioritized :)

        • +2

Yep, gotta love paying premium prices for third-world infrastructure. Meanwhile, some countries have basically eliminated random power outages. But hey, at least we get the 'exciting' experience of living in the dark every now and then. Truly a privilege. 🙃

  • I received mine today. Charging it up now.

    • +1

Mine just arrived - not tested with a load yet but charged it up - it charged to 93% normally - then suddenly jumped to 100% - I took a video of it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N8vbjLIf0KE - I'm wondering f this is a potential battery management system issue - messaged support to ask as it doesn't seem normal!

      • +2

That's just the first charge, I wouldn't be too concerned. Try run it down and charge it back up and see how it goes.

        • +1

Just what I was thinking too. Often, the calibration is out for the first 2-3 cycles, and it can go out over

time if not fully charged occasionally (charging to full 100% + extra half hour, then running down the unit

not just via AC/240 V, but the remaining reserve using the DC outputs. Doing that a few times should

calibrate the system (battery monitoring tech). Most custom/profesional build systems with a battery monitor

with shunt need to do this every 2-6 months also if only discharging and re-charging small amouts every

day as it can go out by 1% per day. Please keep us informed here how you get along with this and other

issues, and let us know how good or not so good it performs.

          • +1

@ozhunter68: The reply from support - makes sense - not sure what I'll use to drain the power over DC!:

You may have encountered an inaccurate power display situation. Please refer to the following steps to perform charge and discharge calibration:

            1. Please discharge to 0% with AC, and then check whether the DC power can be turned on.

            2. If the DC power can be turned on, please use USB/DC to discharge until the DC automatically shuts down and cannot be turned on again.

            3. Use AC to charge to 100%, until the screen shows that the input power is 0.

Repeat the above steps 2 times and check if the power display is correct again. If still not and let me know.

            • @evanssm2jp: Use USB to charge phones, tablet, laptop if it has USB C pd charging, lights, power banks etc.

              • @ozhunter68: All phones/laptop/tablet fully charged - down to 98%. I may need to output the car charger/12v socket to charge other power stations to discharge via DC - slow process tbh.

                • @evanssm2jp: I think you may have misunderstood me and support. You can discharge via AC and DC or both together Untill around 10% charge in which the AC inverter shuts down (as it needs power to run inverter and this also protects the circuits/batteries). The DCwill still work, and this is when you use only DC till unit stops giving power. Sounds like this will still take a long time, so yeah, cig socket at 8-10 Amps draw will do it.
