Door bell and wifi cannot be added to cart. Been like this for a while now.

    • it worked for me when I posted the deal. try price matching with jb or the likes

      • +1

JB already saying no, they have caught on to it lol saying it doesnt add to cart right away lol

  • new nest cams with 4k incoming?

    • +4

Why would they do that? that means they need to store more data on there servers lol

      • +1

Hear me out. They start selling 4K cameras, but then charge a premium if you want to store 4K video.

  • +13

Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'data')

Can't expect a small telco company to have a good backend.

    • seems OOS and they can't display a proper message!

    • I guess you can't, given the recent data leak

  • +1

Insane prices, just nabbed a two pack.

Three pack is terrible value in comparison, cheaper to buy one pack + two pack.

    • are you talking about the nest wifi router?

      • +1

        No sorry cameras

  • Doorbell cant be added

    • +1

      OOS

  • Thanks. Grabbed a floodlight which was always well overpriced, but at $165 seems a good deal.

  • I'm thinking about getting 3 of the Wifi Pro Routers, seems a great deal, and our current older Obri RBR20 system is starting to play up.
Any reason to get something else over these considering the price range?

    • thanks! added to post

    • +1

No luck adding it to the cart, tried 2 different browsers! :(

    The doorbell sucks. Save yourself

    • +1

      What's wrong with it?

      • +5

Notifications are terrible, battery life terrible and need a paid subscription for historical events past 3 hours or so.

Look up previous comments. I returned mine and got a tapo.

Chatting with friends this is only a good camera if you have minimal foot traffic like a side entrance.

        • +1

It's better if you run power to it

        • +2

My battery is pretty good, I charge it about once a month and we get plenty of notifications as it faces a street with cars driving by. It is a bit slow from pressing the button to chiming the doorbell noise though.

          • @CharlieAus: How many events a day?

            • @Pootie Tang: I get maybe 30-40 events per day on average and battery life lasts for a month.

Notifications are pretty much instant so I suspect its due to network configuration.

              • @pogichinoy: Solid. Unfortunately I get 300 and it's a quiet street.

                • @Pootie Tang: Geez

How is it a quiet street but you're getting that many events?

Mind you I only track people and packages.

                  • @pogichinoy: I thought this while typing. It's a quiet street until you see the amount of events

                    • @Pootie Tang: I mean I get a lot of notifications on my security cams because it also picks up cars, tree branches moving, etc

But your doorbell should be positioned in a way to avoid 300 daily events.

Gosh your battery must only last a week if you're lucky!

                      • @pogichinoy: Yeah cant move it. Otherwise theft goes undetected. Have two batteries.

        • +1

I can confirm that the doorbell is garbage. Also, the nest WiFi Pro isn't without problems. Nodes will randomly disconnect, and the speed is trash. I went back to my previous Orbi AX6000, and there's simply no comparison.

      • +3

It's so freaking slow with notifications and responses. If you're not home and actually want to interact with someone ringing the doorbell it's basically impossible because of how slow the whole thing is.

It's not just an connection speed issue either, I can load all 5 of the 1080p security cam feeds from my house faster than Google can load a single 720p stream from the doorbell. As far as I've been able to tell, the video feed gets routed via Google in the USA before coming back to display on your phone. It can easily take 60s+ to get the notification and bring up the video feed of what's happening. And it's the same even when you're home, there is no local access to the video stream, it all goes via Google's servers.

As is so often the case, the hardware is good, but let down by terrible software.

    • Couldn't agree more. We switched from a eufy and have regretted it ever since. Half the time when I go to view the camera it won't even connect, recordings aren't available till an hour or so later, notifications and doorbell presses dreadful.

  • Can't get the wifi to work

  • +2

Can anyone add the the router (or 3 pack) to their cart. I get this error
Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'data')

    • Nothing works for me. Site broken.

    • same, really needed a wifi router but can't add it

  • +9

I just phoned them on 1300 773 777 and confirmed they have no stocks of Wifi pro 1 or 3 pack and the doorbell, hence the error message

    • Sad face

      • Tell me about it 😒

  • Are they hacked or something, 😂 says In Stock but can't add to cart. More like Why! Optus!

  • Dam really wanted the router pack.

    • -1

Try your luck at OW…never know 😉

      • Do they have an online portal?

  • Looks cheap like the cameras but 3 hours of recording without paying for the subscription is a killer - if it was like 48 hours might be worthit but 3 hours is a killer imo.

  • Doorbell is out lol

  • Was trying to price match with JB hifi online and the link disappeared :(

  • +1

Just so everyone’s aware, the reason it’s all so cheap isn’t because google is doing some new product launch or something. It’s because Optus killed off its “Smart Spaces” line up last year and have just been trying to sell through the remaining stock via the accessories page. They’re just completely clearing out inventory now as they no longer order shipments of smart home products.
