Thanks appreciate the comment
On the bright side, hopefully people are wising up to these middle-man get rich quick leeches buying products from China for $1.50 and selling them on for '$29.99', then pretending a 50% discount is a good bargain. Add $10 delivery on top too.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. The quality/price in China varies but as you are the expert I assume you knew that. Most of the toys are made by Hape, who is regarded as one of the best wooden toy manufacturers in the world.
So you didn't buy a $3 toy and try to sell it for $30?
@belongsinforums: No the product mentioned is a different quality/manufacturer. However, I won't lie to you, I did try to make a profit off my website's items.
Yeah whenever my wife sees one of the fancy new 'Montessori' toys one of the other mum's has got, we look it up in Aliexpress and find the same thing for like $3.
I don't know anything about this business, and their wooden stuff looks half decent quality in the photos, but so much of this stuff is just dropshipping with a 1000% markup.
Like lots of stuff.
There is always good quality stuff, and cheap knockoffs.
I have some “good” Hape branded ones, you can tell the quality is good.
I have some Ali stuff, some are good / very close to Hape, other stuff is obviously cheap.
As a parent to a 2 year old, and a 9 year old, and moreover, as an early childhood educator of almost a decade now,
Montessori roughly translates to "lets charge them 20 times what it's worth"
I'm never happy to see a business go belly up, even if there's a decent chance of drop shipping afoot, but this Montessori stuff NEEDS to get over itself, give it another five years or so max and everyone will be so over the fad. The concepts are great, as are many concepts in early childhood, but any and every business, be it a seller or a centre, claiming to specialize in Montessori is doing so solely because of the name recognition and the associated free reign to charge whatever they want, I'll be glad when the fad wears thin.
This. There are no requirements or standards that something needs to meet to be called a 'Montessori' product. Just slap the name on it and charge 1000% more. It's a massive trend that won't last much longer IMO.
Yup.. like this
$7 tissue box(pininternational.en.made-in-china.com), I mean $70 montessori tissue box(lovelittlemoon.com.au)
Montessori education….. 'Mum Too Sorry' to send you there…
Minimum 50% off Everything (Montessori Toys)
Thanks. Are Italian toys good?
Only if it's Gucci branded
So Gucci is better than Montessori?
I was thinking about getting my wife a Montessori handbag for our anniversary…
please post a bargain
50% off massively jacked Alibaba products doesn't make a bargain.
I hope you bring the same energy to the kmart clearance section
Did I say something wrong?
lol… I read this as "did I (fropanity) stutter?"
yes you did. you make me cry :)
Many suppliers that ship the same items so OP isn't wrong that the supplier is different. But when the wooden layers or the cutouts are literally identical……..

https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/Wooden-Children-s-Han…guys give it a break they're closing down jeez
even they close it down but is there any bargain ? also how they vouch the warranty if they close it down
They may be closing down, but this isn’t some bricks and mortar small business that the owner has poured hundreds of thousands of dollars and countless labour hours into. It’s a website reselling cheap junk with huge markups.
good luck for your future endeavours , op
Sorry for your loss. Im guessing that all those memberships you paid to some clown on Facebook to teach you how to be a mumpreneur just didnt pay for themselves. Who would have thought that buying shit off Temu and Aliexpress and selling it for a 1000% mark up in your Shitify store wasnt going to be profitable in the long run.
Dam sorry to hear that your business is closing. Read your bio and sucks if this venture didn't work out but good luck on your future ventures
