They apparently do lose their effectiveness over time. Should last a year, so a 74-pack should be fine, even if just using one every four or five days or so. Buying 200+ or 300+ at a time, however, is a bit much unless you have a family of 4+ and are running the dishwasher daily.
I was told by a dishwasher repairman that you shouldn't let a dishwasher sit with dishes for a long time. He said run every day or two, but for one or two people, they might not have it close to full in 48 hours.
The individually wrapped ones (non-dissolving) would likely last longer or no?
Unsure, but if I had to guess, they'd last at least as long as the dissolving ones due to the extra wrapping. Maybe there's a few chemical engineers or chemists on here that might know.
Yeah, been there and done that. Catch wouldn't cancel the order or credit the difference, even if you just made the order and it hasn't shipped. Just had to buy another one to halve the loss :P

Great price but I suggest people do not horde more than about 12 -18 months max of these as they eventually do degrade (enzymes break down)

Mine came today. Just one pack. Production date is 2/10/23. There was also a sticker on the back saying that it was a product of Poland.
That's the "catch" in Catch.com. It's like the Reject Shop, but only online. My package could have been on some grocery store shelf in Warsaw or Krakow about six or 12 months ago.
As for the "product last 2 years" written above, note that an unopened package probably lasts longer than one that's been opened and it repeatedly opened and not sealed air tight. From what I've read online, the best storage is in an airtight container, dry area and no direct sunlight on the tabs.
Lastly, it was $8.88 for 72. Even for 36, $8.88 is a really good price for Finish Quantum.
