  • Because people will say 'what about touch' - if you're using a portable as a second monitor, you can't really use it for touch (unfortunately).

    • I find it to be like touchscreens in a laptop. I just don't use them.

      • +2

I find touch to be pretty useful in a pinch. Had a foldable Bluetooth keyboard fail on me and had to get by with touch for a few days before I found a replacement.

  • It says most laptops can connect with one usb c cable - what are the minimum requirements for this? Will an older laptop need two cables?

    • +3

If your laptop has as USB-C port with video out (DP Alt Mode) you should be able to run it off this. Otherwise you'll have to connect via HDMI (for video) and USB either from the laptop or a charger (for power).

Great price for OLED screen. However, assuming mid to low tier panel without anti burn in algorithm(if that is even a thing) on hardware level at this price point? Which makes it bad choice for desktop office use, but a solid choice for portable media consumption and gaming. Just my speculation.

mate i would say 99% of users buying this would be purchasing for portable media consumption

    • i’ve had it for a few months now mostly static wallpaper no burn in so far

I've owned this portable monitor since May 2024 (bought it back then for AUD $178 delivered during an AliExpress sale), I rate it as decent but not spectacular.

In retrospect, I now wouldn't pay anywhere close to that price for it — the image quality is good but nothing amazing despite the OLED panel. Definitely not as nice as a proper OLED gaming monitor or TV. I'd say a decent IPS panel with 100% DCI-P3 gamut from the likes of UPERFECT etc looks about 90% as good as this portable OLED monitor (inky blacks aside, of course).

It's decent for gaming, but since it's limited to 60Hz refresh rate it's not going to be amazing. Watching movies and content consumption is probably its strongest area.

13" feels very small in comparison to the 16" or even 18" screens on the market. I expected it to be slightly smaller than my MacBook Pro, but it somehow feels a lot smaller in person. You'll definitely be using this as more of a secondary rather than a primary screen.
The 1920x1080p resolution at this 13.3" size does lend itself very well to UI scaling (166 ppi).

It doesn't have a VESA mount, so you'll need to buy a tablet holder or similar if you want to mount it on a monitor arm.

Power consumption is very low, I never recorded higher than 5W of power draw even at 100% brightness, which is nice.

There are no OLED care or pixel cleaning tools of any kind, so once you inevitably get burn-in, it'll most likely be fairly prominent and visible (I don't use mine very often so I haven't experienced burn-in yet). If you use this for office/productivity use, it's going to be very much a consumable item. I'm not actually aware of any portable OLED monitors with pixel cleaning/OLED care on the market, so it seems that manufacturers haven't bothered with this so far.

The speakers are awful, just like on every other portable monitor I have ever used. They'll do in a pinch, but you'll want to use headphones or external speakers if you care about sound.

  • Hi @Clear
Can you give your advise if this one is a good monitor?

Yep ZSUS are good I can recommend them for budget monitors. An alternative would be this HGFRTEE monitor that's 18.5" instead of 18", has an inbuilt kickstand instead of a standalone stand at the cost of 300 cd/㎡ brightness instead of 350 cd/㎡ in the ZSUS.

  • OLED, nice! 60hz though… any of these portable monitors have VRR and at least 90hz?

    • +2

There's a batch of newish 16" 3K OLED monitors which do 120Hz now, they've been out for a couple of months. For example:
      https://vi.aliexpress.com/item/1005008040861939.html

I only wish it was 2.5K (2560x1440p) instead of 3K. 3K feels like overkill for such a small screen size, and it's more expensive to drive that many pixels when gaming.

  • Sweet, cheers. Yeah i mean at least you can just run lower res, and you wouldn’t really notice the non-native issues thanks to it being a small screen - in fact it may even look a bit nicer due to smoothing what would otherwise be sharp pixel edges. I honestly prefer how 1440p looks on a 4k screen, rather than 1440p native screen.

  • Hi Guys

    First time poster.

Just got the Arzopa S1 Monitor direct from the Arzopa website. Spun the offer wheel got $20GBP off (around $33aud) so the monitor was around $77 posted.

  • Is the price in the title total price or before tax?

    • AU$ based on current Mastercard rate, GST inclusive and stacks with cashback.

      Deal seems to OOS anyway.

      • But Aliexpress shows the price before tax

Tax excluded, add at checkout if applicable

        • So what's the issue? The price in the title is the final price at checkout.
