Price in the title, $55 off isn't a deal

Lol what a ripoff. You're not finding anxious parents who think spending $700 on a camera will help their kids here guys.

Wrong audience and $55 off an overpriced camera is a deal.

    • Did you mean to upvote or downvote the deal..?

    Does it cuddle too? AI?

3 kids in and this is the best video monitor I have used. Don't waste $424

Although this isn't much of a deal, and there are a few haters for this monitor, i personally own one, and was just thinking how glad i was i bought it. Yes, in the early stages post birth, any camera definitely adds to anxiety, lack of sleep, paranoia, but once they are in their own cot and room, this is a great device to continue using. Specifically, because it has great clarity and quality and is true 1080p, good sound transmission, very accurate temperature and humidity sensor which is important, the ability to rewind and see patterns or what might have woken up the baby to understand and make changes, in built quality sounds, and a good functional mounting kit(s). I also purchased a no wi-fi 720p monitor, but I've boxed that away and use this. I bought it on true special for $300, so it was a no brainer.

    • Seconded. This is a great product. I love the app and reliability of it - again all about unlocking sleep. Has a lot of longevity beyond the first year too.

    • I disagree.
The apps screws up all the time, i go to open it some nights and it hangs loading the monitor, does the same for the Mrs. Extremely annoying when you don't want to adjust your eyes to your phone opening and closing the app.
Audio transmission has a ridiculous amount of white noise and it randomly stops working sometimes
You'll end up turning all the notifications off except crying and movement detection if you have the pad.
The lullabies suck unless you pay more and the audio quality is terrible

      • I remember the app had some issues some time back, but I logged a ticket and they released a new version 3 days later which made it load and connect a lot quicker. You’re right, I ended up turning off crying, cough and roll over detection because I can hear the baby from home, but it also sleeps on its stomach, but it was handy when I was in the office and got a notification. The sounds are standard, but you don’t need that many either. They’ve also recently added the ability for it to work as a monitor with sound so you can have the screen off and still hear everything, and a great dimming function for night time.

      • I don’t face these problems at all

$55 should be the price, not discount

Could not recommend. Support is shocking and they scream about "privacy" but have so many trackers built into the app it doesn't work properly. Also no LAN mode (for internet outages)

    • It does have a lan mode. It works when the internet goes down but wifi is up.

The best purchase we ever made was to purchase a cheapo baby monitor.

Don’t have to rely on an iPad or iPhone and wait for loading times.
Can leave the screen on indefinitely.
    Not reliant on wifi.
    Didn’t need HD screen.
Was only $100 at the time.

Been 3yrs and still going strong

    Stop the AI slop

Tapo c220. Picked mine up for $57. Even has crying detection. Can view on all phones ,tv , tablet

  • I have this and am happy with it. It has had a few issues but those are resolved now. I have all the AI functions disabled as they aren't very helpful. Sleep sensor is great. And the ability to use on multiple phones and tablets is great. However you can get most of the functions from a $39 tapo camera, so overall very expensive

  • The previous model was almost half this ‘heavily discounted’ price. Not a deal.

The wall mounted version sells for $249 several times per year on Amazon. Trying to claim the floor stand is worth $175 is total bullshit. Great product (we have two) but significantly overpriced. Wait for it to go on sale.

Also, the after-sales service experience with Cubo is nightmarish. Buy with Amazon & invoke ACL rights after the 30 day window if necessary, no questions asked & return was seamless.

Fix the app especially on android devices. Takes ages to connect and background audio drops out all the time. When it does work, phone gets so hot and battery drains hard.

This is the latest 3rd gen of the monitor and is just released recently I believe. I have the previous gen at home; overall, it's a good monitor. But do aware of the hidden fee for their premium subscription: https://au.getcubo.com/pages/cuboai-care. Basically after one year, all the fancy AI feature means nothing to you unless you pay them again. Personally I don't think the product itself is not worth the price tag since the lifespan of it is only one year.

    • +1

Agreed with what you said. After the one year is up you need to purchase the premium subscription (which is kind of a cop out at this price point) to get the best features of this monitor otherwise it's pretty much just on par with every other monitor. For that reason I wouldn't recommend purchasing something this expensive.

  • I would recommend a regular monitor and camera over this every day of the week.

As much as I hate to say this - if you must get it, don't get it direct from Cubo; get it from Amazon as support and warranty process is better with Amazon.

  • baby to Marge….baby to Marge…wah wah!
