He's done one. You need to bang the lock enough to compress the battery spring disconnecting the battery a moment and it unlocked as a safety feature.
That's an odd safety feature. Does that mean the lock will unlock itself if you leave it long enough and the battery goes flat?

There are Bluetooth Tuya / Pin code versions of these on Aliexpress too (for around the same price), allowing to open it using a smartphone app or a pin code combination. The marketing claims they are IP67 but I'd take that with a giant bucket of salt.
