Buying Laptop from Taobao / AliExpress

Hi all! Has anyone purchased a laptop from Taobao or Aliexpress before?

The specs for Lenovo Thinkbook 14 is a lot better than what's available in AU. 2.2K, 2.8K screens, Intel Core5 —220H, 24G ram, 1.4kg in weight.

I bought a lenovo xiaoxin last year from AE
Basically identical to this one https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/893619

Paid a similar price, but at the time (11 months ago) when the above was more like $2k locally.

Been happy with it but as someone else said good luck if any warranty issues.

If somethings going to go pear shaped, it would usually happen in the first week which PayPal should be able to help. After that you may have international warranty.

I bought an inexpensive laptop from aliexpress 3 years ago.

Great spec'd unit for a really good price.

6 months later one of the hinges went on it. ;(

Couldnt source a replacement and warranty was no good.
