Looking to buy my wife some framed artwork, on stretched canvas, quite large, size about A1 or B1. Budget $500 but stretch this somewhat for the right piece.
Retro Print Merchants (https://retroprintmerchants.com.au/) seem to have a good selection of art on canvas and frames.
Any recommendations on them or any other Aussie online merchants who offer this service?
The specific art we are leaning towards is "Great Wave Off Kanagawa".
Any advice would be appreciated.

I absolutely love great wave of kanagawa but it’s just done to death on prints as well as other merchandise (eg clothes) and, for me, it’s just not special.
Those prints on the site just look so generic. It’s like you’re getting ‘Live, Laugh, Love’ in Australiana picture form.
Personally I’d have a look at local art shops and find something you like from a local artist than something that’s mass-produced. Depending on where/what you are you can get stuff cheap. I bought an original A3 watercolor, framed in an A2 for $65 maybe 2-3 years ago. It was from a souvenir shop in regional NSW.
Op shops are also an excellent source of cheap artwork.
If you would prefer original artworks rather than prints I would suggest Bluethumb - https://bluethumb.com.au/ . For prints/ reproductions you could try Fy! - not Aussie based but have quick postage. They're more posters than stretched canvases but they offer framing.
Have bought some lovely artworks by Australian artists through blue thumb.One problem I have found is that the artist who I bought 2 oils from 5 or 6 years ago has become quite expensive. But it’s great for supporting Australian artists.

Get one of them printed on canvas, perhaps - more personal.
