      I couldnt disagree more. I think it feels great to type on, pretty much exactly like a laptop. so it is a preference. As for the back light.. its completely adjustable so… that is a problem easily solved.

        I like the laptop feel, but MX Keys just feels bad. I sold the first one, then a year later, tried another and still didn't like.

    Got this earlier this week when it was $140. Thought it was a ridiculous amount to spend on a keyboard but I wfh and use it every day and I will say it’s a damn pleasure to use. It’s got some weight to it and feels very premium. I’ve used mechanical keyboards in the past and I prefer this.

      I hate the thok-thok-thok of the mechanical keyboards. Brings back memories of crappy old library computers. Some people love them and that's great, but I like quiet keyboards.

        It depends on the switch you use. The blue switch has the loudest "clicky" sound, while the red switch is quiet. I prefer a tactile feel when typing, so I choose the brown switch.

          huge travel is annoying too .. there are some ultra slim optical switches that might be ok though

        You can definitely have quiet mechanical keyboards, some even quieter than regular old membrane boards

        Just need to get the right switches.

          I haven't done my research on them. If I was to ever get another membrane, I've heard good things about KLIM.

          As for switches for mechanicals, which ones are quiet and low travel?

      I bought the B6 Pro a few weeks ago .. typing was just as bad as the MX Keys.

          oh yeah … the new solar one, is that out yet? I got the Trackpoint for Lenovo EDU and only about $70. Downside is no backlight and CTRL in usual thinkpad location, not at corner.

          No backlight is better than the crazy backlight on MX Keys S .. has such a nice quality feel, but I hate the typing experience. Not sure why. I like the laptop style scissor / membrane feel, just not MX Keys S.

    Just be mindful that this is the UK keyboard layout, not the US one. So if you're more familiar with a US layout with the rectangular Enter key, you may not like this one as much.

      Interesting, thanks for mentioning that. Some of the reviews that were posted show it with the US layout - one of them was from Australia. I’ve already ordered, so will update on which model I get.

    Ordered and got delivered today. As others mentioned Amazon listing is showing UK keyboard layout, but the one I received is US layout. YMMV.

    Did anyone having issue to get this MX Keys S come up in Logi Options? I connected via Bolt USB and works fine but can't get this show up in Logi Options.
    Same on Windows and Mac.
