The only keyboard I've used since my logi Di Novo died that I didn't immediately resent.
It's fantastic
How does this compare to a mechanical keyboard? I recently got 2 mechanical keyboards. One is amazing, so much nicer to type on than the old membrane-style Dell keyboard I had. The other one is also good but it sits a little too high on the desk, which reduces my typing accuracy.
It's the nicest non-mechanical keyboard that I've used. I originally had it as a work keyboard when we were doing 5 days in the office because I didn't want everyone to be subjected to loud clacking noises. I find I can type faster and more accurate on it compared to a mechanical keyboard that's a bit taller.
I still prefer mechanical keyboards overall, but MX Keys I like better for work.
Battery life is great. Only need to charge it every few weeks.
Wrist rests go a long way to reducing that super-tall feeling of some mechanicals.
MX Keys buttons are short-throw and fairly tactile. Feels very premium.
Got the ten keyless for $79 in the last deal at centrecom. Its not a bad keyboard. Keys are pretty clicky but otherwise feels pretty good. I didnt like it for gaming. Was getting missed keystrokes and weird stuff. Maybe I had it set up wrong. But for typing it works well.
Thanks OP, got this and MX Master 3s from OW for 228.86 and paid via GC.
I used to rate these, but the keys mechanism can be quite flimsy.
I use it for general office type work, web browsing, etc. I can't comment on gaming as I don't game on my PC. I think it is a really great keyboard. The backlighting is useful for me as well when I have the lights down or off - easy to use, good battery life, comfortable.
I use it with a MX Anywhere 3 mouse and two Logi Bolt receivers so I can plug in my work laptop as well without having to mess around with remapping.
Both the MX Keys and the MX Anywhere allow up to 3 devices to be registered - and it works seamlessly with 2 Bolt receivers - one in my home PC and one in the dock I use when I want to use my work laptop. Use a dock so I don't need to mess around with video cables to attach the laptop to my 2 screens which are also attached to my home PC.
Ah nice spot.. bought this from Amazon a couple weeks ago. It's not bad, but I prefer a mechanical keyboard if given the choice.
I use the non S version for design work. I wont go back conventional keyboards. A quiet office is a happy office.
Thanks OP. The silver/white one is the same price too.
It’s quite a low keyboard, wish you could adjust the height of it
A USB stick, pen, eraser .. under the back works for me and reduces the light bleed from under the keys that irritates me
can you price beat at OW?
Matched at JB
The Combo : keyboard + Palm Rest + MX Master 3S Wireless Mouse = 237. With OW price beat, it would be $225.15
Will be cheaper with GC. ( warm tips: stop buying GC, lots of scam)
I've used one of these for a couple of years now and still find myself hitting the wrong function key. Really annoying that they are spaced uniformly across the board. I may be a moron though, I don't hear many others complaining about this.
You can disable or reasign the keys
Windows Powertoys or the Logi tech software
That's not my issue. My problem is that on every other keyboard I've ever used, there's a physical space separating groups of function keys, so it goes F1,2,3,4 space F5,6,7,8 space F9 10 11 12.
I didn't realise how much I use those spaces to visualise my hands on the board until they weren't there any more.
I know 'f' a 'j' have the little tactile keys to help with this, but I always forget to use them.
I wouldn't touch it, mine died a month out of warranty. keyboard wasn't nothing of note.. 1st they said it would be replaced and to provide all my details even though I said it was past warranty. Provided my info only for the next level to point out to me it was out of warranty and they won't replace. I have no doubt I could pursue this through consumer affairs as I had all the dialog, couldn't be bothered, changed brands. Not a typers keyboard.
fwiw, the logitech lift mouse is also on sale. Not all time low for black ($72 vs $68). white is at all time low ($70.54). ymmv
Is this OK for mac, or better to get a mac specific one?
Might need to confirm but from memory Mac one just has slightly different button icons on a couple of keys and no bolt receiver included.
I use mine with mac and windows via bluetooth and no issues. Just have to remind myself occasionally to switch from CTRL to CMD depending on which screen I'm using.
Does this come with the wrist cushion like the bundle?
No. I found that it was more painful with the wrist cushion.
its been 133 on amazon. cant be historical low
I have this, paid $141.55 via OW price match ~3 weeks ago, lovely to type on
