Another AliExpress sale and this one is a small one with the coupon codes only applying on fashion categories. I recommend checking out the Fresh Fashion sale page through the AliExpress app, as it will show a lot more products and categories, including Super Deals.

Probably the best category to look at would be bags/backpacks, as there are brands like Mark Ryden that offer budget alternatives to Inateck.

The minimum spend excludes GST and shipping.

@Clear - I found you something fashionable to wear: https://vi.aliexpress.com/item/1005007134986609.html

Ah yes just what I need to trunk up my wardrobe.

  • I am wanting to get a singlet for gym with a DBZ print on it. Is there anyway of finding one of higher quality (comparatively) on AliE?

    • Try to find reviews with photos. Don’t trust the seller’s photos for judging the quality.

Be extra cautious when shopping on AliExpress—most products are junk. Some sellers use the same photos as eBay listings, but the quality is far worse. I recently had a terrible experience. After receiving a defective item, both the seller and AliExpress customer service immediately promised a refund, yet my refund/return requests kept getting rejected. To make matters worse, AliExpress is actively blocking my negative review, repeatedly flagging it for ‘illegal characters.’ Here’s my review, and I have no idea what’s ‘illegal’ about it:

"The quality of this case is terrible—it’s misshaped and doesn’t fit the phone, leaving the edges exposed. My return and refund requests have been repeatedly rejected. I’ll never buy from AliExpress again. To top it off, they’re blocking my review, claiming it contains 'illegal words.' This experience has been extremely frustrating."

repeatedly flagging it for ‘illegal characters.’

What do you think illegal characters are?

"The quality of this case is terrible—it’s misshaped and doesn’t fit the phone,

Found it. You're using an em dash! So it has absolutely nothing to do with AliExpress trying to "censor" you as you're trying to spin it. Rather you're using an unusual character (aka illegal character) that their their review text field can't handle.

      • Nope. I just tried adding the following as 'additional feedback,' but it’s still flagged for 'illegal characters.' I don’t think the symbols were censored—it’s more likely that negative words like 'terrible' and 'frustrating' are being blocked by AliExpress.

'The quality of this case is terrible, it’s misshaped and doesn’t fit the phone, leaving the edges exposed. My return and refund requests have been repeatedly rejected. This experience has been extremely frustrating.'

        • Aliexpress even labels the following as 'illegal characters.' Their system is so clever, it can detect any hint of a negative comment.

‘The quality of this case has significant potential for improvement. It’s not an ideal fit for the phone, leaving the edges exposed.’

That isn’t a standard dash character. - compared to —.

I’m guessing you’re using some non English keyboard that’s making UTF8 characters.

      Edit: beaten by clear

I've only done 1 return on ali, it went surprisingly well - the item was a choice item, about $50, I requested a return for refund. I was provided a shipping label but was expecting the seller to claim they never received it back, but alas I actually got my refund in quite short time. This was mid 2024.

      • Same here. I've made returns, and gotten free refunds (made in credit, with no need to return the product, e.g. USB charger that didn't charge as advertised, salad spinner that came with broken piece).

Did my first ever return last month after shopping with them since 2017. Was skeptic but I got my $250 refund for an android head unit. Was surprised how easy it was honestly. Just dropped the item back at aus post and in a couple of days got my money refunded by aliexpress though. The seller wouldn't accept that I was refunding it

        • Yeah, the sellers will try anything to avoid returns and refunds but aliexpress is trying to compete with the likes of amazon so I guess its a necessary service

    • Would you mind telling us what the product was at least?

What’s the value of this phone cover giving you so much grief? I’ve bought quite a few phone covers for various phones, most have been good, some I wouldn’t use. Typical price ~$2 each, not something to get worked up about.

I'd like to speak with the manager

      • It's not the cost of the case that bothers me—it’s only $5. What annoys me is how they handle issues. They refuse refunds or returns and even try to block reviews for no reason.

I used to think Ali’s quality was better than Temu’s, but after spending over $50 on phone accessories recently, I realized most of them are junk. The lens protectors are either too small or won’t stick properly, and the case is totally misshaped. Just a waste of money.

I've bought literally several hundred (low price) items on Ali, and occasionally had an issue … broken, non-delivery, wrong item, but mostly I get what I expect. I've had a 100% success rate on refunds bar the one time I sent a pic of our cat as evidence (I didn't think they'd bother looking at it). They did ha ha, but it was only a $1 item. Perhaps my history means they always side with me, and I'm a bit better at filtering out junk

I'm at about 2,000 transactions on Aliex and EVERY time I look at Tempoo they have worse range and higher prices. Done many many returns with aliex and 90% have been instant without having to return the item. Maybe 1 or 2 items in all that time have I felt burned by the experience. So burned 0.05% to 0.1%of the time. I'm sticking with Aliex. You just need to follow the procedures and you are good way more than you are not.

          • @ShipShapeRC: Besides, Temu is always trying to trick you into one gimmeckry or another. Soooo annoying… 🙄

        • Did you go straight to opening up a return/refund case? Or did you try to negotiate something directly with the seller.

I've always opened up a case if I ever had an issue with the item and have never been denied.

          • @bleemo: I contacted both the seller and AliExpress customer service. That’s the weird part, I feel like they’re both robots, giving me the same immediate refund answers, only for my request to be rejected again later. I’ve given up now; it’s just not worth the trouble.
