Cashback Not Tracked from TopCashback

Hello everyone,

Has anyone experienced issues with Top Cashback not tracking their cashback rewards? I recently purchased an Optus SIM card for $220, which came with a $100 cashback offer. However, I haven't seen any information about the pending cashback.

I emailed Top Cashback a few weeks ago, and they replied that it would take time and also require approval from Optus. I find this unusual, as I've never had issues with other cashback apps. Typically, they show the cashback as pending with an expected approval date. But Top Cashback's process seems different.

Any similar experiences or advice would be appreciated!

    3 Cashback LPT's that apparently need to be repeated ad nauseum.

    • Do not purchase an item relying solely on cashback to make it a bargain.

    • Treat cashback as a bonus. If it comes through, great. If it doesn't, meh so be it.

      It should be fixed and given instead of all these issues. I have same issues as OP and many others have had issues. its annoying, why cant it just work?

      • Ozbargain is not the support centre for these scams businesses. Repeatedly posting the same things doesn't help anything. If you don't like them not paying out, don't use them. They keep going and keep doing it because people still use them.

        For tracking success, disable/remove all 3rd party plugins (AdBlock, uBlock, Pi-hole, Honey, etc), VPNs, avoid browsers such as Brave, close additional browser tabs, and don't click away to other sites looking for codes etc after clicking from TopCashbackAU as tracking will be lost. TopCashbackAU must be the very last click/tap prior to purchase. Try our iOS/Android mobile app for improved tracking results.

        That's right, to improve your "luck" it's best to go via their app.

    Yes - it's common OP.

    Me recently - Temu, supposedly huge cashback via Top Cashback back before Christmas.
    Spent a bit so was careful to follow instructions
    Didn't work
    Still waiting the expected 3-4 months for a response.

    Will probably try do chargeback as I kept evidence / screenshots and didn't get what was advertised.

  • Just to give you an alternate point of view, I had cashback issues with TopCashback and Temu. Submitted a claim. Read from another Bargainer it would be honoured after the twelve weeks and indeed it was.

    I've had issues with providers not honouring a cashback too. The worst was probably Qantas Shopping who did nothing. Just can't find your transaction must be your fault. That's a bit hard to swallow.

    Cashback terms and exclusions
    Cashback is eligible for new sign-ups (new Optus) customers only. A new Optus customer is defined as someone that has no active service with them.
    All internet & mobile plans must remain connected for a minimum of 120 days from sign-up date to be eligible for cashback.
    Cashback is ineligible if combined with any third party offers from Flybuys and/or any other rewards programs, and ineligible on negotiated deals via email/chat/phone. The transaction must be completely wholly online.
    Cashback is ineligible on tablet + SIM packages, and on 4G home internet purchases.
    Cashback is ineligible on use of any codes not approved and posted by TopCashback.
    Cashback is ineligible on use of gift cards for payment and/or purchase of gift cards.
    Cashback is ineligible on purchases made via the retailer's mobile app.

      CR & SB specify 1-7 days for tracking, and 120 days for confirmed transaction

      TCB don't make this clear, but tracking cannot be 120 days if

      Missing cashback claims must be lodged within 100 days of purchase.

        I wonder if the $100 Cashback offer trumps any further Cashback entitlement or claim.

  • I did a TCB app to AliExpress app transaction this morning. It tracked 2 minutes after.
