Love this machine. Have had it for almost 3.5 years and hasn’t skipped a beat making two cappuccinos daily. Managed to nab it from TGG Commercial at the time for $360.
Machine is decent.
Wish the drip tray was better designed.
Also the purging of steam wand at the start (I've incorporated this into my routine), is annoying.
I would recommend upgrading your portafilter and baskets.Purging the steam wand before steaming is something that needs to be done for any machine
Most machines purge as steam, not water. It's a design thing to do with the thermojet
The Breville splurts out like 10-20ml of water just before steam comes out

Had one of these for a few months, they are excellent. Form factor wise it's about as small as you can go while still being full featured - I used the steamer almost exclusively.
Little pro-tip: You can use it to do hot water instantly by leaning the wand out at an angle, pressing the Froth button (has the white indicator), holding it and pressing the leftmost button (one cup). It will keep on steaming until you press the one cup button again. Handy for adding a bit of water to mix cocoa.
Bought it last week and had a $30 voucher so got it for the same price (got a grinder separately as well). Great setup! Love the ease of use and better grinds. The auto milk frothing is a game changer!
And what small grinder so people use ?
Breville Smart Grinder Pro used to be the go to.
But there may be better option at the price by the SGP is now though.DF54 in black. Perfect match for black truffle Bambino Plus.
Went with the Varia S3. Read a lot of mixed things about the more budgeted range of grinders and this one wasn't too much more.
