nah not going to happen. Its hard but move on mate.

      • +3

I had low expectations also, but they just replied that they'll refund the difference as credit on my account so I'm a semi-happy chap

        • Dayum - what will it take to get you to be a full-blown happy chap?

    • I tried before, terrible customer service. They literally replied back with an AI response and ignored me.

Good fan, I set the speed at 2 and seems to be perfect to move air around and not make you too cool

  • Does auto-shut off after 12 hours means if you don't touch it for 12 hours it turns off? Is that a default setting you can turn off?

    • It has a timer which you can set, not sure if it has a default to turn of after 12 hours

      • +1

I have this fan and yes it does default to turning off after 12 hours. I don’t think it’s possible to disable the timer all together, so in my experience I have to turn it back on a couple of times per day. Great fan in every other way, though!

  • crazy, thanks op bought 1, been waiting forever for this to come back in stock

  • Do these DC fans come in a wall mounted version? I have 2 of the Kogan DC pedestal fans - very pleased with them - but would like a wall mounted version too.

  • I had one of these, three issues personally:
    - one of the fan blades snapped off during operation, which caused a bit of a fright (thankfully within warranty so I got a full refund)
    - if I remember correctly, the screen doesn’t turn off, and it’s pretty bright (blue as well)
    - you can’t go down a fan level without going to the max (10?), after which it goes back down to 1

I have an older version, holding the power button for a few seconds turns off the screen.

thanks for the tip - just tried it and works! I've been wrapping it with a jumper for the past few years…..

    • My version the screen automatically turns off.

    • The screen turns off, but the bloody beeping everytime you press it doesn't which is annoying

      • I forgot about the annoying beeping, especially without a decrease fan speed button.

I've got one of these and the the worst thing about it is that the fan head doesn't sit on an extendable metal pole like every other fan in existence - you literally have to unscrew the middle section of the stand, physically remove it, then reattach the fan head to the bottom section of the stand.

This takes about 40cm off the total height of the stand and basically makes it a desk fan. Conversely, it's too tall in some locations with the middle section installed. Also, it has no button to reduce fan speed, so you have to cycle up through the 12 settings to start back at 1.

Other than that, the speed range is good, the low settings are very low and quiet, high settings are powerful and the spread between settings is pretty linear. Oscillation function is quiet too, and the display turns off quickly after use.

  • Think of the power savings over buying a $20 AC fan. 🤔

    • I think there's also the argument of convinience of a high quality product 😦

people would pay $200 on a single vornado 😭

I've got one of these. I quite like it.

The display is white LEDs and it automatically turn off after a short time.

    It's very quiet.

The height is not easily adjustable - you can't just put it up/down by small increments. Also there is no option to put the speed down you just cycle up to 12 and then it starts again from 1. Not a big deal in my experience.
