  • Comes with EU plug it says

    • these are powered off type-c right?

can you use a 45w type adapter?

      • No clue, OP can clarify

        • +6

I'm sure OP will clear things up.

      • Yes and it can use a low power USB-C connection, even your laptop.

        • How low?

Like let's say I have a Series S, and I plug it into a wall, could I then plug this into one of it's USB ports?

For the price, (profanity) it, I'd grab one just to make the Series S my go to "take around to me nan's when showing off the grandkids" device.

A normal USB-A port on your computer is perfectly fine for powering this monitor due to the low power draw. Otherwise a PD or any other USB/USB-C charger is fine.

        • +2

          Clear enough. Thanks OP.

        • So it will run on only 2.5W?

          • @Mr Plow: I used it on a USB 3.0 port (4.5W) and it was fine.

  • Been eyeing off one of these but maybe I don't need the extra resolution (kinda like the idea of having a squarer aspect ratio though, as it is replacing a bigger secondary monitor on my new, narrower desk): https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005006111326351.html?spm=a2…

    • Can't go wrong with ZSUS if you want 14" and 1440p. They go a tad cheaper in every sale.

  • How do you pay in US dollarbucks?

EDIT: Do not worry. I found it.

    • +3

Thanks for the update, I was really worried.

      • +6

I specifically told you do not worry.

        • +2

They were worried before you posted the edit instructing them "do not worry" xd

  • does this have a built in battery or it needs to be powered all the time?

    • +3

Powered all the time. The USB port on your computer will suffice as the power draw is small. There's always the option of using a power bank.

Got it down to AUD60.40 after shipping/tax using coins

Hanging out for a touchscreen and better screen ratio, but at $60 can't really go wrong.

  • Duh bought from amazon 80 thought cheap oh welll

  • Thanks @clear for another AliExpress find of something I've been needing. Bought

  • How would you compare this to a previous deal you posted? (apart from the physical size) https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/848998
I still have the 10.5" but not sure if I feel like upgrading it

    • +1

This is bigger. The 10.5" will have better colours and more brightness.

  • Hey Clear can't see anything in the listing about PD passthrough, does the manual say how much? 65w would be nice.

Also any idea if it can connect to the switch without a dock?

I have an MSI 15in portable display but it fails at both of these things.

  • This should be pretty handy with the mini PC I bought here last year.

Is it just me or does PayPal no longer allow changing the currency to USD to save a few dollars? The option is gone. It used to be there at the final payment window.

    • See currency options after selecting the card?

      • Nope, no option at all. It was there a month ago.

    • +1

@Loopholio There's some bug in PayPal where it only allows you to pay in the biller's currency on your Default Payment Method.
If you've got a card where it's forcing payment in AUD, then just switch that card in your PayPal account to be your Default before you start paying, then the "Bill me in USD" option will work.

      • @Nom Good show that man!

My only card wasn't set to default somehow. Now to test it!

Test failed, I'll try the PayPal app.

Sorry, this item's currently unavailable in your location.

I think I got one of the last three, if the stock counter is to be believed.

  • dang missed it

    • +1

It has been popping up every couple of weeks. Fingers crossed it happens again.

      • Looks like it's already in stock again?

  • Can this be used with a Chromecast as a mini tv ?
