Have to buy a wireless dongle, comes with 4 basic 3d glasses.

    • Yeah this deal was commented there ;)

Yeah im loving mine! bought from good guys for $696, picked up yesterday, I had a 4 year old series 4 samsung plasma and for me the PQ was a upgrade for sure. My plasma had a lot of picture noise though. The cinemavision plays mkv and 3d mkvs for me over ethernet cable no worries or via usb. Though you do have to use something called plex media server to share to the tv, which is cool with the file info but pretty resource hungry. Wont be selling off my WDTV quite yet. The 3d is definitely cool as well I think, though a bit of a novelty. Its really light and the stand is good quality.

One thing it dosent do is pass DTS and stuff through HDMI to the TV via optical to my receiver for stuff like ps3 and others. It come out as 2 channel. I know hardly any TV would do that. Everyone is supposed to have a hdmi passtrhough on their reciever nowadays….

But yes I find the picture to be excellent myself. The only other thing it it has a shiny screen which draws alot a reflections. I don't mind, but some folks might, especially lovers of plasma. Its a bargain for the price.

  • So now who can haggle the best deal pitting HN against TGG?

    • On the good guys post someone managed to get it down to $680 at HN. :)

    • yeah maybe I think tgg are listed as out of stock online now though. Don't tell hn that.

Mine does not have a buzzing sound?
Perhaps you have a bee in your bonnet.

  • Do you guys have any issue with the buzzing sound? I have the same 42 inch model, and the buzzing sound is quite annoying… Haven't contacted HN for possible replacement (I have extended warranty)..

    • Transformer whine coukd be a sign the transformer is about to go.

      • does that mean i need to probably contact HN/LG, to arrange for a possible replacement? i have observed that when i tap the area where the speaker is, the buzzing sound disappears…

        • That could be the speakers picking up a charge (something not grounded properly) or something loose possiby on the speaker cone. move anytging magnetic like otherspeakers away from the tv and see if it still occurs.if it does it miight be worth gettting lg to come andhave a look at it.

  • passive 3d -1, I don't feel like passive 3d does it justice although it is a good economy option.

    • +2

On the contrary, I think passive 3D is a vastly superior viewing experience to active 3D.

Don't want to start that debate here, just adding my opinion so others can see another point of view :-)

  • hows it compare to the 42 inch version 42LM6410? is it better quality?

  • there's also these on special seem like pretty good deals for 42'' but no 3d:
    LG LS4600 42" $564 was about $900 mid year and $800 on special: http://www.harveynorman.com.au/lg-ls4600-42-full-high-defini…

    LG 42LS3450 $567: http://www.harveynorman.com.au/lg-42ls3450-42-full-high-defi…

hard to tell them all apart

  • Don't forget this is how Harvey Norman treats it's customers- refer to the Harvey Norman Asus pad debacle here

    They don't deserve your business.

    • +1

It was an obvious pricing error and response by a team depleted due to the holidays. Surprising how quickly these things get blown out of all proportion.

  • It's gone back up to $795 and JB is selling for $796

  • Does anyone know if this TV supports subtitles/teletext? I need this functionality for one of my family members. I could not find this info in the specs.
