Men’s Undies Suggestions?

Back in 2012, I bought a dozen Izod boxer briefs that ended up lasting me a decade (four are still in good shape). I replaced them with Bonds but they’ve turned out to be rubbish: all stretched elastic and crotch tears.

Can anybody recommend a good brand of men’s underwear? I don’t mind paying for quality. I do mind paying for mediocrity.

  • Undies are unnecessary, buy eneloops instead. That's the ozbargain way.

  • Under armour ones for me. Havent looked back since changing to them a few years back.

  • Exofficio boxer briefs.

    Comfortable.

    Quick drying.

    Really awesome pair.

Yes, it's pricey. But worth it. Totally.

  • The Alpha long trunk at Kmart, bout $10bux a pop - can't beat them bang for buck.

    • think im going to try these, 2nd recommendation now and they look the goods.

  • Aldi short trunks are really comfy and last many many washes.
You just have to get them in the week they appear in stores.

  • Bamboo are the best. AliExpress

  • Try Izod boxer briefs, they last a decade.

  • I recommend Knobby: https://knobby.com.au/

  • I've been wearing Marks & Spencer briefs for about 40+ years and they've always been good.

  • If Australian made and decent quality is of interest to anyone, I’ve been replacing all my undies with Bushy ones over the last year or so.

A little more expensive but worth it in comfort, quality, and knowing I’m using ethical labour (not meant as having a go at you if you can’t do that or don’t care, you do you).

  • I really like knobby undies … super high quality … I think the patterns are cool but maybe that isnt for everyone. https://knobby.com.au/

    You guys wear undies?

    • they obviously not real commando

  • I used to use Stepones.. But quality massively dropped over time.

I swapped to Tradies, and they've been quite comfortable, so far no major wear or tear in over a year.

  • CK Cotton or Bamboo.

  • Had step one for ages and have 3 separate "batches" over the years, quality and fit has definitely gotten worse. I recently switched to under armour and they are really good.

  • Mitch Dowd https://mitchdowd.com.au/collections/mens-trunks?sort_by=man…

The long leg ones are fantastic, particularly if you find the extra soft ones

  • Separatec. And nothing else. A bit pricey but honestly so worth it.

  • Depends what you like, but I've been in these for 8 years and they're all I buy.

Last ages, breath well and comfy.

    Target Maxx Seamfree.

  • Cheapest and best way to go is just to not wear any.

  • Merino wool undie recommendations?

  • I highly recommend these from Lululemon:

Not the cheapest but I’ve been wearing them for years and are very comfy!

  • Vanta underwear, best undies ever, very comfy and great quality. I have tried many underwear brand, can't go wrong with Vanta:

  • Bonds X-Temp are good. The rest of their lower-tier range is indeed crappy.

  • Personally I used to wear fruit of the loom/hanes trunks from Walmart back when I lived in the US and tried to swap to bonds as my old ones wore out. But I have only had negative experiences with them. However I have fully swapped to Uniqlo's Airism Boxer briefs. For me The right size and rarely rides up and if it does it isn't uncomfortable because of the material, as well as being fully breathable. Could be worth buying a pair and giving them a go. They also Airdry over night really well if you are traveling with them.
