Not bad. How do you go with hotpot days inside? The smell lasts for a week or so afterwards. It goes from nice to… not nice.

    • i haven't tried, but my family does them in a large sitting area.

      • It still pongs but that's the only negative thing about hotpot. Probably all the fatty lamb and beef and pork…

I could go for some hotpot for lunch.

    • the smell lasts for a week??
our family as hotpot quite often indoors, we usually open the door and/or window afterwards, the smell never lingers to the next morning.

      • Hmm. We leave it over night and crank it the next day for breakfast. Maybe that doesn't help.

But it really pongs for a week after.

        • Pop it in the fridge and take it out again after. Otherwise we don't have that issue either, doors and windows open works well.

    • Hotpot is just cooking you must not have a vent

  • Thanks bought 1

    Lets go hotpot!

  • Almost bought this for the whole "trying induction" thing but then read the Amazon reviews and decided against it. Sounds like it'll break in no time ….

Power levels below 1000 are all pulsed, which is ok.
Power levels over 1000W are 100% duty cycle, but are a bit rubbish on mine:
These values tested using a wall power meter with IKEA induction pot full of water.
    Configured value: actual value.
    2000: 1537W
    1800: 1335W
    1600: 1140W
    1300: 1064W
    1000: 1051W

Still does the job, but I suspect a better quality one gets you closer to the max draw of 2400 (and note this one is only max 2000). There's another 900 watts available!

  • Amigos don't be lose hope. I contacted their support and they just refunded me the difference. Probs some technical issue.

    • great, thanks for doing that. removed expired on the post

    • Make sure you guys contact their support first before purchasing!

Are these all made the same ? I bought one from ebay, us4e it, then one day the glass just shattered on me. Then bought 1 cheap hot plate, use it one of the hot plate coil cracked. Bought another one, same thing happened. Now 3x of them will end up in the land fill, too much for green energy T_T

  • I know this is now sold out at this price. I have one, I got it for just under $50 and so worth it, so $25 was a great bargain! My19 year old Kleenmaid induction cooktop is playing up and I am just nursing it along until we redo the kitchen. (Only one side works and the one that does can be a little temperamental at times) I have two single portable induction cooktops for emergencies and I use this one the most often (I got a Breville one years ago)….they will do me until we redo the kitchen and appliances in the next 2 years.
