Hub Recommendations for MacBook M3 Air

I've just purchased a Logitech Brio 500 webcam to take WFH video calls on my Macbook M3 Air without opening up the laptop and using the built-in camera. The reason for this is that I have two S2722QC external monitors connected via USB-C and the Macbook only supports dual displays when the laptop is closed.

The problem I've encountered is that those two monitors take up the two available USB-C ports on the Macbook M3 Air and I need an additional USB-C port for the Logitech Brio webcam to use.

Therefore I'm looking for hub recommendations that can provide an additional USB-C outlet and also handle an external monitor (or both ideally) whilst running 4K @ 60hz.

Thanks!

Both of your Dell monitors actually contain USB hubs, so you can plug the webcam directly into one of the USB-A ports on the back of the monitor, and it will pass through and be detected immediately by your Mac.

No need for additional hardware. :)

If your Brio is USB-C, you should be able to get an adapter for USB-A.

    • Going through my bits and bobs now to find an adaptor because if that works that would be awesome! Thanks!

  • I'll tag on to this post.

I also need a USB C Hub for my MB Air M3 to connect to my HDMI monitors (don't want to purchase new USB-C monitors just yet).

    • Hmm, my comment was blocked, not sure why as I'm not an affiliate, just trying to help. If you search Amazon for this, you'll see what I mean if you don't need the rest of the 'hub' stuff (upstream charging, extra USB-A port).

"UGREEN 4K@60Hz USB C to HDMI Cable"

If you do need the extra ports, I'd honestly go with the Apple Multiport Adapter, having tried cheaper ones with MacBooks/Surfaces in an office environment.
