Use this and turn off the auto renewal. 3 days after you will get email to renew with $6 per month for 3 months. Obviously this option is if you can last without making calls and use data for 3 days.
Can I use this and sign up for the 365 day plan?
In my experience with 28day Amaysim starter packs, use for 28 days, remain active for apprx 6mnths, then can be renewed for $0 to a 365 day PayG plan with no credit, good for long term SMS receiving.
May be able to set as PayG at activation with $10 credit towards 365 PayG.

Apprx 18mnths, but only 1mnth calling and sending SMS(and Data.usage), after that, call recieve and SMS recieve only, for $10, thats what I've been getting out of Amaysim starter packs.

I did the same a few months ago and turned off auto-renew straight away, but didn't get any discount offers.
Later with 1 day left on the plan I ported to another provider's 30-day plan, and then a few days after my Amaysim plan was due to expire they sent me an email offer something like 'we noticed you didn't renew your plan, here's 50% off your next renewal, *but following renewals will be at full-price'.
Bit too late though, since I already ported out.
But what are their retention team thinking?
If my plan expires and I have gone without calls or data for a few days, THEN do they think I'll be interested in a retention discount?!?

what's the requirement activation date? i needed amysims in march/april for PAYG and looking at using as credit for $60 plans calls only…can i use this $30 as credit or strictly 28 days monthly plans thing…
Past comments say it's better to buy one from Coles or WW etc if wanting to activate on the PAYG plan.

On the amaysim packaging from Coles & Woolworths, it says "Activate SIM within 12 months of purchase." I'm not sure about the amaysim SIM from them directly.

This amaysim SIM from their online store may be able to be converted to PAYG if you contact amaysim. I had asked amaysim before but didn't try.
amaysim from retailers such as Coles & Woolworths can be converted to PAYG when you activate. I just did and could choose PAYG 365 days.
This amaysim SIM may arrive preactivated. You can contact amaysim to reset the expiry date.
amaysim starter packs are not activated when you buy from stores such as Coles or Woolworths.
Amaysim's $50 SIM pack is on sale for $20 at Woolworths right now (according to WW app). You can activate it as PAYG then change to the $60 calls only plan by paying additional $10. Total cost $30.

@apokalypsez: Why are you worried? You have 12 months to activate after purchase and you'll do so in March/April. So I don't see a problem there.

I've just been on chat with Amaysim to find out about this:
Me: I'm looking at buying a UNLIMITED 32GB $30/28 days SIM. Can I activate it at any time after I get it (eg in a few months time), or does it get activated when I order?
Amaysim: Please be advised that activation takes place 1-4 hours from the purchase time. If the SIM will be ordered online it means it will be preactivated, but once you have received the SIM and inserted it the system will detect and will restart the plan for you.
Me: Can wait a few months before putting it in my device?
Amaysim: No, the system will only detect it within 2-10 Business days since it only takes 2-10 Business for the SIM delivery.
Me: So I need to start using it very soon after I receive it?

@apokalypsez @Dacs Both the physical and eSim cards are available for $10 at Woolworths this week from Wed 12th - Tue 18th Feb. This avoids the preactivation issue and you can PAYG online.

Ported from Boost to Amaysim eSIM option.
Took about 15 mins for the new eSIM to be ready once I started the process. Pretty neat.
Lost service for about 2-3 mins (app had few mins lag where download eSIM button was greyed out after phone went Emergency calls only).
I have boost physical sim, if I buy amaysim eism.. can I port straightaway or do I need to convert boost to esim?
