      • +1

Damn, just saw cotton in the title and assumed it was just cotton. Didnt realise it was a polyester blend :(

      • +1

Gah, I got tricked by this as well. That will teach me to be so smug about the great deal I got.

    • +14

      Sheraton ≠ Sheridan

    • SHERATON???

    • It's worth delving into the TC info. I don't think 1000 TC is realistic or says anything about quality.

      • +2

Peak TC is around 300 to 400.

  • +2

    RIP catch of the day

  • +4

The upped the price on items I’ve been looking at previously so the discount just brings it back down to normal.. I thought this practice was illegal?

    • +5

Well think about it.. what is the worst that could happen to them?

  • +2

5kg of washing powder for $4.80 delivered.

    In.

    https://www.catch.com.au/product/supreme-front-top-loader-la…

    • Nice. Cheaper than home brand ones. In!

  • -3

there is no law is Australia for setting what was the price?
expect some most of them looks fake price or highly inflated price and most are selling for less or almost similar in other sites even after 40% discount.
I just see some misleading things here who gets fooled by so called "was" price

    • It won't be an issue for Catch in a couple of month's time…

    • Yes the discount needs to be real, with the measure being that the product was actually sold at the higher price. Catch tried to circumvent this by showing saving against RRP but the actual reality is that there is very weak enforcement of ACL and these companies are just slowly pushing the envelope a little further over time.

  • Nothing good on sale

  • Thanks, got some uggs for next winter!

  • Finally, I am not feeling guilty anymore for not reading Catch of the Day book, delivered free few years ago.

  • Revlon volumizer one step brush is a bargain for about $33 in pink or blue is a good bargain

there's the holy grail of sunglasses deals for Otis here. polarised spring loaded hinges with lifetime warranty, I struggled to find a regular pair for under $100 on BF but here they are going for $40ish essentially.

    • Thanks have grabbed a few pair of their strike ones to try. Have you used them before?

      • +1

Yes, highly rate them. Great build quality, especially the strike sport ones. Also if it breaks or damages in any way (minus lens scratches) otis replaces them for free. Have had this happen twice now.

  • +1

Warning to those paying with discounted gift cards - if you use gift cards to pay and it brings the final payment to under $100, you won't be able to use the $10 off code (SALE10).

    • +1

I'm not sure why someone downvoted you, this is correct, and the issue I had the other day.

Put $100 worth of items in cart.
      Add SALE10 voucher.
      Now $90

Try to apply gift card worth $90
SALE10 voucher is removed because the gift card brings the cart amount to < $100.

It even says that in the terms and conditions (should've read it before I had tried it the other day):

*Min spend applies to products sitewide excluding delivery fees & gift cards.

  • Note sale10 is only usable one per account

  • Gotta give this business a thumbs up, placed an order around 6pm yesterday, part of the order has already been delivered, with the other awaiting for pick up by the courier.

    Good job Catch!

  • Grabbed two of the laundry pods from Earthwise (the blue one with the baby on it). They're usually $20 each at Colesworth, rarely go down to $10, but grabbed two on Catch yesterday for $13 shipped (i have onepass) so pretty happy. I have a 8 month old and been using them for a couple of months.

  • Remind me who Catch of the Day was originally competing against? Zazzle or Zoop or something.

      • +1

Not Zapals. It was Zazz that did the one product each day fad.

        • Phew, I was scrambling my brain trying to remember this name!

  • +3

Incredibly fast delivery. Ordered at 10pm last night, received today at 5pm. Standard delivery

  • Gotta say I’m very impressed with the delivery to metro VIC. Ordered Friday afternoon, shipped at 11AM Saturday morning, delivered within 3 hours! I don’t recall if Catch has ever been this fast with their delivery? I have OnePass and only pick standard delivery.

  • Nice. Not a lot I want/need.

Grabbed 3x smith chips (about $2.55 each) and cordless screwdriver ($17.40). 16x chicken noodle soups was not bad, also got 2x hot choc and 2x marshmallow bundle for $9. And lastly a little step stool.

Free delivery with onepass of course. If you get that for $20 a year, it's worth. I went to cancel for my 2nd year and got offered $20 deal again. I only used it for bunnings and officeworks.

  • +1

There is/was a FURTHER10 code I used that may be of use to people.
