This is a stunning tv. I've been a lifelong advocate of value for money, but this tv made me reconsider that. When you watch a lot of tv then pure quality is worth a lot.
This is value for money. You can spend half the amount and get something nowhere near half as good.
I wish the jump to the 97" wasn't so huge. I wanted to buy once, cry once, but the price was just too much to even consider. My wife was convinced after a single movie night on the 83".
Great panel but like all OLEDs, the peak brightness shits itself in anything larger than a 10% window. Is that crucial? Not really but still important to me. If the 4 stack WOLED can improve on this, I will consider purchasing a 55" G5.
Shits itself, as in doesn't get bright enough? I have the 65" G4 and I will say at times, the TV gets so bright. I actually do need to turn down the brightness at times, especially at night. Try heading into a showroom and asking them if you could play with the brightness and panel settings and try to emulate your environment, trust me this TV gets very, very bright.
Agree, have my standard set to 70% and is plenty during the day. When HDR/Dobly activated at night on 100 lights up the whole room.
Wonder if I need a "Teams meeting" TV for the "office"

Maybe some people got good discount codes for them? I wouldn't be paying anywhere near the RRP on it.
It's because they come from a mother panel, and the panel is more efficently divied into 55" TV's with more material loss into the largest sizes.

Best time to buy 83” G4 was at launch. Picked up mine for $6400 installed. Low stock has kept the prices up
Yeah I waited 3 weeks for delivery from LG for mine. Paid $6700ish though, so not terrible, but did need to wait for stacking of coupons and discounts.
Must've been a price error. Well done to those who didn't procrastinate. Also, it isn't on back order as some states have in-store stock available.

I bought the 2023 77’inch G4 when it was on special and I vouch for how beautiful and Clear This TV Clarity displays while playing Movies and Streaming . But I would Definitely recommend to have a Good Sound bar for Bigger Size TV Screen .
