  • If anyone's buying the Lenovo make sure it works for your use-case

While the Snapdragon chips are impressive, its still an ARM-based chip and will not run all the applications that a normal windows 11 laptop will

Last I heard their support for the chip has been very slow post-release as well.

I got one during Black Friday, the battery life and performance have been very impressive, and the only issues I've run into so far are print drivers in a corporate/school environment.

Yeah these are fast and efficient devices, for most people I imagine it will work fine

but just keep in mind its Windows on ARM not 'true' Windows so if you have specific software/workload you want to use it with, it might not work.

      • How'd the cooling / heat?

I have an Intel one. Fans can get loud and it can get midly painfully hot. I also have a MacBook Pro, and it gets warm and the fans kick in very rarel

        • if you were still wondering these Snapdragon chips use the same architecture (ARM) as the MacBook Apple Silicon models, its quiet and efficient, doesnt get too hot

  • The laptop only have IPS screen, not OLED. From Lenovo website: 14" WUXGA (1920x1200) IPS 300nits Anti-glare, 100% sRGB

    • Listing says 400nits?

      • +2

OLED and 400nits are for the 32/1TB model.

  • I really wasn't the thrilled with the A55 , even at this price it's a pass . A36 will be released in the not to distant future for those considering , although dearer.

Thanks OP - $343.45 delivered to WA. Been waiting to get a new phone for my wife. 3 days after I gave her a Pixel 6A a year ago, she dropped it - not far at all, mind you - smashed the screen… the case was still coming in the post. Grrr! Enough shards have finally fallen off the broken screen sections that it's pretty tricky to navigate.

  • Thanks Lionel Lee

Damn… Just bought an A35 though BigW, but took me a bit of OzB work to get it down to this ($333.96) price.
    $399 - 10% ED Extra (-$39.90); %3 off BigW gift card (-$10.77); 6 x bonus EDR points (worth $10.77); 2 x ED Extra points (worth $3.60).
