Which Store Premium Services Do You Subscribe to?

There was a lot of discussion on eBay's recent $19 deal for eBay+ on whether it was worth it, and how it compared to other store premium subscription services. Which ones do you have?

  • Do you find value having them?
  • Which ones do you recommend?
  • What value do you get from them?
  • If you subscribed to ShopBack+, what gift cards do you generally get each month?

And it's cheaper too if you subscribe through iTunes Turkey

  • +17

Is there a way of making this a multiple answers poll? I assumed it would be.

    • +5

Why do people neg questions instead of answering them?

    • +5

      Thought the same thing.

The only one worth subscribing is Amazon Prime.. even though you’re supporting Bezos

    • +4

That's THE one I don't find value in subscribing to. Amazon is not good for small stuff — AliEx is better — and the stuff it's good for easily passes the free delivery minimum.

Oh, and I've no need for the streaming service.

Uber One is very good value (for now). Besides the restaurant deals, they do a lot of "$20 off $40 spend" for groceries and even with the marked up prices, it's cheaper than going to any supermarket in person.

  • +1

DoorDash premium (or whatever TF it’s called). Only have it because it comes free with Prime

    • Added.

      • Can you specify that it’s because it’s a prime freebie?

        • +1

If it's included in Prime, then it's already encompassed by that option.

  • +1

Amazon. Simply because I order enough for multiple households to make it worthwhile.

    • Doesn't that mean you easily exceed the free delivery minimum?

      • +3

Not always. It's more about the frequency.

Like Mum asking for a new stash of Ajax 🙄

        • Isn't it cheaper to have Coles or Woolies deliver it? (I presume you don't live with your mom, and have things delivered to her) It's $4 there; $7 @ Amazon.

          • +1

@wisdomtooth: I fundamentally dont understand the logic of Colesworth delivery unless you work stupid hours or are house bound.

Both, right next door to each other, are in my local shops, with Drakes at the end of the street. Nope, Amazon is for bulk buys and Christmas shopping.

            • @Benoffie: @1989jdm apparently does.

            • +2

@Benoffie: Not everyone has a vehicle for Coles/Woolies.

Taxi drivers don't tend to help you put the groceries in the car anymore, for Uber, try finding a spot with a trolley to load up that car.

Also I started using Woollies online deliveries way before Covid, as a way to stick to my budget when paying my house off. No impulse buys and you could see at a glance of the 'cart' how much you were spending.

              • @Trekky: I was a happy non-driver when I lived in Sydney for 15 years, and would walk 20 mins to the nearest Coles (longer on the way back). But, yeah, deliveries would've helped.

            • +2

@Benoffie: I also find with online orders such as Coles and Woolworths you miss out on a lot of cheaper options some people assume if something is advertised in their online catalogues that that is the cheapest options when often you can find something else may be available.

Amazon does have some good bulk buys but half the time i can find better pricing elsewhere never assume Amazon is cheapest.

              • @2esc: You miss out shopping online? I would've thought the opposite; online it's much cheaper to compare than you're already there at their store.

I gave up on Amazon Prime since Aliexpress is less than 2 weeks delivery now. Amazon delivery times blew out and Ali came down. I can’t remember the last prime 2 day delivery item I bought.

  • +1

Can only select one option but I sub to Amazon Prime,
    OnePass and Everyday Extra.

    • +2

Yeah, couldn't figure out how to make it multiple answer, if that is at all possible.

  • +5

Stupid poll bcos you can only select one. Will not be an accurate representation of anything

    Costco Executive

OnePass and the woolies one - only because they are free through work.

Must admit, I do love seeing those FlyBuys points add up so quickly.

    Suggested Coles Plus Saver

Woolies everyday extra is a no brainer for me.
Do you spend over $85/month at woolies? If the answer is yes, you’ll save money by subscribing. That said, we recently resubscribed at $35/year and got 2 months extra for free.

The same applies for coles saver at $7/month.
I’m canceling my prime sub as all Amazon does is price match colesworth specials, and with the supermarket subscriptions i get a extra 10% off the specials. Plus the points, plus the freebies.

    prime
    onepass
    ebay plus
    uberone
    doordash pro

    • I'd definitely be double checking the value of those. But then again i would never consider the likes of doordash im not that wealthy to use extravagant services like that.

      • +1

DoorDash is free with Amazon prime
Uber eats is free with CBA 6 month offer
        eBay plus was $19
        OnePass was $20
Prime is the only full price service

Ohh I forgot YouTube premium India and Spotify Philippines

        • Revanced >> (YT + Spotify) Premium 😉

Prime is the only thing I find value in. The video (even with ads) is just a bonus.

Never paid for eBay/Jack plus and won't unless they offer it 75%+ off

    I subscribe to:

    Prime
    Everyday Extra
    One Pass
    Delivery Unlimited (Woolies)

  • +1

Amazon Prime, EBay, Coles plus. Probably won’t continue with eBay as we don’t buy as much on there anymore.

  • Just onepass but only because wife wanted it. Value is barely there.

    • +3

Onepass is the one I use the most. At $20/yr, it's a no-brainer with free delivery (or 5x Flybuys pts, i.e. 2.5% off) from Kmart, Target, Catch, Bunnings, Officeworks, Priceline… In fact, at that price, pretty sure non-subscribers are subsidising subscribers.

  • I've never met someone who didn't have Amazon Prime.
