    I normally am ambivalent to the ShopBack drama because they seem to always fix up the issues… but I am sitting almost at 1 months and they still haven't responded to my numerous emails about the incorrect cashback.

    So be careful if you expect 100% tracking. I know the cashback tracked… it was the upsized amount that didn't. Always take a screenshot of the upsize before you use it.

      I don't think they have actual support staff. Everyone gets the same automated bot response and when you point out that it's already more than 14 days, you get no response.

        There was a Harry I was emailing with in the past who didn't seem to be helpful. Similar comments were mentioned on OzB. Thought he was a human.

          It's a fine line between a bot and a human just cutting and pasting the same response to everyone without actually looking at the specifics of the case.

          SB recently laid off a quarter of its staff around March last year, which seems to track with a deterioration in the quality of its customer service since then.

    Shopback should be banned from posting new deals until they fix up their previous blunders. Many of us got ripped off from their recent Monkey Shoulder deal. Their support is non-existent and an absolute joke with automated replies.

      I've got an additional tracked Monkey Shoulder cashback that says "Meet all criteria" and requires confirmation of the other purchase (purchases for me), so I'm hopeful.

    They can't be trusted. Last year I participated the booking.com 15% deal, I couldn't get cashout even 6 months after the date I can cash out. Everything is valid, email them they just said they need 70days investigation. After 70days they still have no answer. Hopeless! I finally need to lodge a financial ombudsman complaint to get the money back.

    Monkey Shoulder non payment customer here, who never had an issue previously. So, YMMV but tread carefully. Please read comments above and most likely below before making a decision. Read the link above regarding Monkey shoulder whisky non payment if you don't know the background.

    The most infuriating aspect is the inability to speak to someone from Shopback or after multiple emails, have someone from Shopback contact you. It could be a progress report - there are many unhappy customers, or a resolution. 7 days ago I received this support - nothing since.

    Another one here having BWS/Shopback issues. Tried to get the Ryder low carb 30% offer that was on the other month and tracked at only 2% and have had no luck correcting it.

    My last BWS cashback got rejected with just a vague reference to the terms of reference. I’ve used cashback for years and I am well aware of the ToR and fine print. When I lodged a review I had to wait a month for them to say literally the same thing - no engagement at all with the actual issue just a generic “don’t click on banners, turn off ad blockers”. I honestly would recommend everyone avoid this.

    I have kept all the proof documentation that was sumitted to them.

    I have never had a problem with the other sites. This is poor form Shopback, particularly when you do it to aged pensioners !

      I don't know much about the company but I suspect they are running into some kind of cashflow / financial problems.

      • introduction of a paid 'Shopback plus' subscription
      • apparent sacking of their OzB rep replaced with someone who only offers canned responses
      • increasing OzB reports of missing cashbacks not being resolved

      Sure this is an OzB-centric perspective but I would have thought the OzB community has played a key role in their growth, so when they are cutting support to that community you know things must be pretty bad

    Normally SB have been pretty reliable - but may sit in the fence with this one

    People also need to know that the ShopBack rep on here @gotyourback is no longer the original person and is no longer helpful in sorting out cashback issues.

    So all SB deals are now higher risk.

    Purchased and correct tracking received after 10mins. That's over $400 tracked just with BWS without issue in the last few years. If I listened to the warnings years ago I would've missed out on all these. Not sure why people want posts banned from Shopback, many are benefiting without issues. If it's not working for you stop using them, don't try to ban for others.

      It works until it doesn't… I was like you with not ONE issues with SB until the last one.

      Not asking for a ban, just giving you a warning, that you may encounter something like this happening.

    BWS has always tracked correctly for me. It's those "brand deals" that are the problem.

  • I also along with others have had no issues in the past with Shopback/BWS tracking. The last three times though, no BWS items have tracked. I did however try on a different device and had no issues. So if you're like me and have an older iphone (I have an Iphone X), that may be the issue.

      Not tracking is not the issue here, but incorrect amount being tracked. For example, tracking only $0.22 instead of 50% of the deal which was $60 (54$ ex GST) as per Monkey Shoulder deal.

      More important issue is lack of support, if something goes wrong.

    These cashback sites have always had issues. However in the past, you could usually trust that you could contact support and get it resolved, or if not, contact the rep on OzBargain.

    Shopback's support is basically non-existent at this point, and has been for months. There have been numerous deals that they haven't honoured, and people have had no response from them weeks or months after contacting support.

    I honestly think we need to genuinely consider banning them from OzBargain until they can get their shit together.

  • I’m trying to order on BWS through the SB app and the screen keeps going blank. Must be the OZB gods telling me to forget these muppets.

  • I haven't had an issue. Got a carton or mountain culture 70 bucks with the 22 percent cashback. Won't pick up unless it tracks. I haven't ever had an issue with ShopBack but obviously plenty people have. I usually order a carton of beer when it's like this.

    Ban shopback until they fix their issues. They owe me and many others a decent amount of money. Until that is resolved, will neg all shopback posts.
