Google Nest Wi-Fi Pro Home Mesh Wi-Fi 6E System White 3-Pack $150.42 + $15 Postage via Phone Order ($0 C&C) @ Bunnings

741

You cannot buy this through the Bunnings website. You need to either go in store, or order it over the phone for delivery.

There's only a few left scattered across the country, but you can find stores using https://bunnings.youinstock.com.au/search/0529725

I'm in SEQLD and called the Lismore store who located the last one they had and were happy for me to purchase it over the phone and post it to me. Would suggest calling stores outside of peak hours.

  • Actual speeds depend on your Internet service provider, network conditions, connected device, local regulations and environmental factors. Wi-Fi 6E-compatible devices enable the full benefits of Wi-Fi 6E. Intended for indoor use only. Router placement and home size, materials and layout can affect how Wi-Fi signal travels. Poor router placement and larger homes or homes with thicker walls or long, narrow layouts may require extra Wifi points for full coverage. More than five routers in a network may result in degraded performance and is not recommended.

**Up to 2x faster as compared to a Wi-Fi 6 router that supports 80 MHz channels. Wi-Fi 6E specifications are based on use of a Wi-Fi 6 or later generation client device that supports 160 MHz channels. Actual speeds depend on your Internet Service Provider, network conditions, connected device, local regulations and environmental factors. Additional routers may be needed for full coverage.

  • Can't believe I spent close to $600 on these less than 2 years ago!

  • I called and they wont send out.

  • +1

Google agreed to price match so I ordered a set for $699 and hoping to get $600 back. lol

    • @Aminn did you do this via online chat or called up? I can’t seem to get in their chat to confirm before buying. Thanks.

      • I did it via chat but they send an email and confirm that they will do price match after item was shipped, so I purchased it for $699, worse case scenario if they don't do price match, I just return it

        • How did you manage to price match them to 99$? The Bunnings link take you to 122.86 price which I used for the match. The lower prices only show when you select the specific store. But when you do that it shows out of stock.

          • @UWK: Well I'm not too sure if they gonna accept $99, but I told her that's the price in some stores and she said no problem, just order it through google and we will do price match. probably they gonna ship it tomorrow and I can lodge the claim, will let u know how it went

            • @Aminn: Ask them to select Griffith store and it will be 50$. If you are trying, might as well go for the kill :D

            • @Aminn: Get any response from Google yet?

              • +2

@S92WTB: Item just dispatched this morning I believe , I emailed google 2 minutes ago, will update you here once I got the response

              • @S92WTB: I did the same, with the same timings, and was able to get the refund

                • @p1ngu: Cool, I've yet to get mine

                • @p1ngu: I got 576.14 refunded, you ?

                  • @Aminn: same

                    • @p1ngu: Pulling teeth or harder? I'm still waiting on mine

                      • @S92WTB: @S92WTB did you receive the refund yet? I am still waiting for reply from them

                        • @vg06: I've seen others below apparently have but I'm waiting as well. Maybe there is some internal coordinating going on given how good the deal was. Bit annoying as I'm wanting to actually open the things but will return it if it's full price

                          • +3

@S92WTB: no refunds yet.. they keep on saying 48-72 hours 😞.

Support rep they will give refund but nothing yet. unsure why they are stalling

                  • @Aminn: Do you have your order number we can use to stake a claim for the refund? Want to point out they are making different calls for different people..

                    • +1

                      @seanmilt: Order number: GS.5462-6138-6642

  • Should I replace my TP link AX73+AC2600 with this? My extender droped out sometimes.

  • All the people trying the Google price match - how is this going to work when its out of stock now - will they take a screenshot from when it was in stock?

    • Needs to be a live link.

      • Emailed me them the link - they said it was eligible! So I went ahead and just ordered and sent confirmation

Also got12% Cashback from Rakuten (a US cash site)!!

        • 12% cashback or 2% cashback from Rakuten, can you please link the cashback for 12% if true

          • @regenade: Oh hold on - it might be account specific - I received a 10% Cashback booster email on Tuesday - just looked at it and it says ‘This 10% Cash Back Boost is just for you’

I managed to do a Bellroy order to at 14% (up from regular 4%)

But i just checked and they exclude Nest Wifi devices from Cashback! (Doesn’t mention the Pro, but I reckon it will still decline)

  • My 6E eero is nearly $500 for the one router. This price is an insane bargain.

  • I'm a bit of a tech noob. Could I replace my nbn modem with this ?

    • Are you referring to the NBN box that has a logo with the grey case? Or are you referring to the router/modem which is the device that's connected to the NBN box? You can purchase any router and plug it directly into the NBN box which is also called the modem, a bit confusing. This is only the case if you have an FTTP connection or similar in technology.

  • Returned mine 1 month after purchase. First ever router I’ve seen requires you to unplug the nbn cable to config if you are changing providers/type of connections/pppoe username and password. It requires internet to connect to your device and I ended up with infinite loop unplugging/plugging the device with no way of updating the config. A hard reset may solve the problems but I don’t want to lose the configs. Not really worth the extra trouble. Support was not able to help me with the problem even though online chat responded pretty quickly. Get a life and stay away from this.

    • I have HFC NBN so I am not anticipating this issue: just plug the NBN modem in to one unit and do the Google set up or something

      • I’m on hfc too. Initial setup is fine but changing provider creates problems. I can’t change the username/password easily without losing configs.

        • Ah, lame. I guess, fortunately, when I've changed providers in the recent past I haven't had to change any passwords etc my router (nighthawk) just works with the NBN box.

Although I've now bought these google things so maybe I'm about to run into this issue you've identified

          • @S92WTB: Definitely hope you never need to experience the frustration.

  • For those asking about the google store, basically if you chatted to them if the price match was eligible then they would leave a note tied to your case ID regarding your intention to price match, they will note down if the website is eligible, if it's a clearance item, the price, sku and the stock levels. If you purchased and now the link is dead they will still be able to price match as all that info is recorded, apparently the specialist is to allow them to view the chat transcript to confirm and they always need a second check for when an item is below a certain amount.

If you didnt confirm before buying and the link is now dead then you're a bit out of luck. No screen shots, PDFs….do not count so don't try to give the CS rep a hard time. If you bought a bunch they will also refuse.

    • I chatted with them before purchase the nest and have case number also emailed Chat transcript, stated will get refund after shipped guess might be Im too lazy took too long to contact them again now they said no refund and NO return…It is a doggy company so you got nothing in the end but waste money couple more people in the same boat

"I have checked the details with our team.

I am afraid to inform you that we will not have an option to provide you with a price match refund as the item is currently unavailable in the third party website which you were referring to.

Unfortunately, this means we're unable to make exceptions within the system. We regret that we're unable to surpass the limitations imposed by the system.

For any further queries, you can contact us at support.google.com or you can directly reply to this email. We are here for you 24/7."

    what a joke lol

Thank you for replying back to my email.

Please do not worry I have saved the screenshot of the link which you have provided to us and I take the total ownership and responsibility of this case.

Once the order ships please reply back to my email and I will definitely help you further.

    "”

    • I think I’ll be in the same boat as you. Waiting for them to check with specialist and awaiting a response. Wouldn’t surprise me if they send the same email. Oh wells, might have to return for a refund.

    • +1

In my case I specifically asked via chat what would happen if the discount ended or if the price changed later as it was long weekend so shipping would be delayed and only live links were accepted. CS rep basically said that they noted down the info and was tied to the case ID incase of changes. I made sure to keep the chat transcript ID number and had to refer to it when following up, it went through with no problems tho it took them a day for the specialist to do final confirmations.

You might get a different result depending on who is the rep taking care of you but I would defintely double check mentioning that at the time of purchase you had confirmed eligibility with the previous CS Rep who should have left notes regarding the price and would not have purchased via G store otherwise…etc. Obviously being polite as possible as being hostile never helps if they are doing you a favour :)

      • no luck. I actually placed my order with google when bunnings was still in stock, however their refund process is nightmare, keep asking me to wait for item dispatch

"This is **one of the supervisors who will be looking into the case further. I’ve gone through the earlier conversation you had with one of the support agents, and I do realize how important this situation could be for you right now.

Just to summarize, you have contacted us regarding the price match refund.

I am truly sorry for the inconvenience and frustration this situation has caused you. I understand how disappointing it must be, especially after we initially promised you a refund.

After reviewing the details with my specialist team, I regret to inform you that, unfortunately, we are unable to process your refund request. The device is currently out of stock, and due to our system-generated process, our system is preventing our team from completing the refund. I realize this is not the outcome you were hoping for, and I deeply apologize for the confusion and inconvenience caused.

Please understand that we are required to follow our policies, and as much as I genuinely wish I could offer you a different solution, I am unable to help you with the refund at this time. If there were another way, I would have certainly done everything in my power to assist you.

Thank you for your understanding, and once again, I apologize for any frustration this has caused. If you have any other questions or need further assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out. "

        • Has yours been dispatched yet?

Mine is sitting at my desk. Waiting for them to write back some bs like yours above then I’ll return for refund.

They said they’ll get back to me in 48-72 hours. This was on Sunday.

          • @NachoCheese: yes I actually ordered earlier than someone who in this post already got their refund , and it is dispatched earlier than them , I got it for a few days now.

Except the CS I spoke to was slow on processing the refund request and eventually rejected .

            Good luck with yours

            • @ggfatty: Mine rejected as well. They said the no stock available so can't do price match.

              • @daoddv: I might just raise a charge back for price difference

                • @ggfatty: I think I will just return it as they only give about 20 days to return and charge back is longer than that..

  • Got this response and looks like now i need to return it🙃

    ——

Thanks for reaching out about a price match for the Google Nest Wifi Pro 3-pack. We understand you saw a lower price advertised on the Bunnings website.

We've investigated this situation and confirmed with the third party retailer that the pricing you saw was unfortunately a listing error on Bunnings' end. As our price match policy doesn't cover pricing errors, we won't be able to honor the advertised price in this instance.

We apologize for any confusion or disappointment this may have caused. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention and hope you understand.

    • yep this is the response I (finally) received. Screams BS

      • Yeah felt bad, now just have to return it back.

  • Im fked I chatted with them before purchase the nest and have case number also emailed Chat transcript, stated will get refund after shipped guess might be Im too lazy took too long to contact them again now they said no refund and NO return…

    • What's the reason for not allowing return? That's a bit odd. On their website I think they allow up to 15 days to return.

      • Because they can't send me return label

      • Have to log the case to Paypal and CBA to request charge back,I know its a doggy company so I used paypal hope it works

        • I hope you get your money back and get to keep the items. Fingers crossed. I’d be annoyed too. Lucky I got that sorted.

    • Don’t have to contact them. I’ve just lodged a return through the website. Selected items didn’t not meet expectations etc, got the RMA number and then submitted it to third party site for pickup.

      • -2

They need return label to book in Ive asked million times request google to print it out and send to me but they can't

        • Doesn't work that way, they won't send you a print label. Exactly what NachoCheese said.

          • @kongkee: Google said I can ask driver if they happened have printer or just rearrange but it might took a lot of try to meet some driver happend to have printer, they just hopeless and waste my time..worse than a scam

            • +1

@yuisakas: I don't think anyone or any company out there sends you a label for a return. General process is that you initiate the return, they email you the label with instructions, you print and either leave it outside your house or drop it off at a Auspost. If anything I think you're the one wasting their time trying to get them to print a label and ship it to you…

I agree that they should have price matched but It's a bit of a reach to call them a scam company because they didn't deliver you a label since that isn't the norm anywhere in the world.

              • @alteyez: Most companies will have the option to drop at post office but google don't have that option, also most doggy thing is they arranged courier and told me if package missed and they don't receive the package I can't get refund.

              • @alteyez: And this shouldn't happend in first place as now Im just doing their favour and there have no general process about return even have I don't have printer and I don't want spent for anothers mistake, but have a good thing my life is much more valueable than people who have to work so I bought a printer just not happy about their life's so cheap but waste mine

  • they refused to price match and i am out of pocket

    • +1

They are most doggy company Ive ever seen, they told me if the package missed I can't get refund and they arranged the courier, guess they are big enough to make money from return

  • Also got the same nonsense response.

What did people select when returning? I don't want to have to pay for the return if I choose the wrong option or something.

Mine aren't opened or anything, so has anyone put 'changed mind' or similar and received a return label?

What's the delivery company and can it be picked up at an alternative address?

    • +2

I put product too difficult to use or something along the lines of that. Can’t remember exactly. Then they’ll send you another email to follow link to book in Team Global Express to pick up your parcel at your chosen address. You’ll need to print out security documents to sign etc but it’s all outlined in the email.
Painful process but I’m happy it’s now over and done with.
Took the punt with purchasing and price matching knowing that it would’ve been declined.

  • +2

Team global express picked up the package yesterday to be sent back to Hong Kong. This morning got an email saying it’s been refunded.

    • did they give full refund? what option did you chose for return? thanks

      • +1

See my comment above. Yes full refund no questions asked.

  • When i am returning, i am getting error: Invalid RMA, please check and try again or contact the customer service channel that provided the RMA number for assistance.

When can the return be processed? is there a delay between when they activate the RMA number and start process on https://playreturns.brandpath.com/au/collection?

    • Yeah took about an hour for it to be valid.
