Google Nest Wi-Fi Pro Home Mesh Wi-Fi 6E System White 3-Pack $150.42 + $15 Postage via Phone Order ($0 C&C) @ Bunnings

560

You cannot buy this through the Bunnings website. You need to either go in store, or order it over the phone for delivery.

There's only a few left scattered across the country, but you can find stores using https://bunnings.youinstock.com.au/search/0529725

I'm in SEQLD and called the Lismore store who located the last one they had and were happy for me to purchase it over the phone and post it to me. Would suggest calling stores outside of peak hours.

Brand Google
Model name Nest Wifi Pro (2022), 3-Pk (AU)
Coverage for your entire home: One router provides a 1-2 bedroom home with fast, reliable Wi-Fi.* Customise your setup to add coverage and help get a stronger signal throughout your home. And you can keep your existing Wi-Fi modem.
Google Nest Wifi Pro is built for Wi-Fi 6E. It's up to 2x faster than Wi-Fi 6, so you get better performance and a more reliable connection for your whole home.**
Parental controls for more peace of mind: Use the Google Home app to block access to certain websites and explicit content. Set Wi-Fi schedules, Internet time-outs and more.
Made for Matter. So that your devices work together: Connect and control all your Matter devices so that your smart home will be easier to build, faster to set up, and more responsive and reliable. With Nest Wifi Pro, all your Matter devices work seamlessly with Google Home.
Nest Wifi Pro (Wi-Fi 6E) cannot be combined in a mesh network with previous-generation Nest Wifi or Google Wifi routers or points
Google Nest Wifi Pro gives you fast, reliable Wi-Fi 6E coverage for your entire home.* It automatically adjusts your network's performance to keep things running smoothly. It's so smart, it can monitor and diagnose common issues on its own. And it has privacy and security features to help keep you and your family safe.

  • Actual speeds depend on your Internet service provider, network conditions, connected device, local regulations and environmental factors. Wi-Fi 6E-compatible devices enable the full benefits of Wi-Fi 6E. Intended for indoor use only. Router placement and home size, materials and layout can affect how Wi-Fi signal travels. Poor router placement and larger homes or homes with thicker walls or long, narrow layouts may require extra Wifi points for full coverage. More than five routers in a network may result in degraded performance and is not recommended.

**Up to 2x faster as compared to a Wi-Fi 6 router that supports 80 MHz channels. Wi-Fi 6E specifications are based on use of a Wi-Fi 6 or later generation client device that supports 160 MHz channels. Actual speeds depend on your Internet Service Provider, network conditions, connected device, local regulations and environmental factors. Additional routers may be needed for full coverage.

Any cheap flights to Alice Springs ?

    • +1

$15 postage is cheaper than a flight ;) Unless you're after an adventure.

Delivery unavailable in Melbourne as 0 stocks in VIC

        • +1

You have to phone the store. You can't order online. Took me 10mins on the phone to get it ordered and shipped to me. They'll process the order as a click & delivery order and ship it via Aus Post with tracking.

          • @russtyisme: That's unheard-of service (IMO) from a "big box" retailer. Nice of them to do that.

Too late for that. I'm now at the boarding gate…

So you're in the timber yard?

  • Are they discontinuing this or something? Why are they going this cheap???

    • +3

Still being sold by Google and other retailers. Bunnings have just removed the entire Google lineup from their product range. So it's left over clearance stock. They started running them down around September/October 2024, so now there's only around 13 left throughout all stores nationwide.

Wish they sold Pixel phones so we could get it for this cheap.

    Unobtainable deal pretty much

Just thought I'd share. I live in SEQLD and ordered mine over the phone from the Lismore NSW store. If I can save $300+ I'm happy to phone a store to get it.

  • +1

You might be able to price match the Google Store (they ask you to purchase it and then will price match it after). Performance on these are pretty good if you don't need to tinker.

    • +1

Hopefully someone cast post a receipt so we can get it matched.

      • +2

I doubt anyone will price match for such low stock items.

      • +4

They told me to order full price (699) and then when it is shipped to contact them for a price match.
So my receipt shows 699 but I get a separate email for the refund: https://files.ozbargain.com.au/upload/130601/119241/ref.png

If you really wanted it, you could just order and return it if they refuse

    • they ask you to purchase it and then will price match it after

Is that before or after they sell you some swamp land?

  • None left at the Bonnyrigg store, system will show 1 but they can't find it in the shelves.

  • +2

kind of useless, they have a known issue with no fix of speed throttling. I had mine and had to sell them after 1 month of use. I have 1000mbps connection and never got more than 60mbps. Replaced with Deco X75 pro, now always over 600mbps. :) stay away from this.

    • I have Xiaomi, hitting over 800

      • Which model?

        • Be7000

I have the first generation of Google mesh wish, still working fine but itchy for upgrade.. would this make much difference and how does it compare to the ones offered by Amazon, not sure if I should make the change to Amazon ones. Does anyone have any insight to share please? Cheers.

    • yeah im wondering the same.. well not Amazon ones, but a new mesh system

    • I'm still using the originals and don't have any issues with them. Only complaint I have is the app can be slow to use but I only use it very rarely to set a priority device (work computer) while other devices are downloading.
Using the hubs at PC's that don't have wifi and everything else on the mesh.
No issues with speed on my NBN 50 plan either.

  • do these work WITH the old Google Wifi, or are they completely seperate? This is cheap for an extra 3 units for my existing Google Wifi system!

    • Nope, completely separate. Whilst the previous one was backwards compatible; the Google Nest Wifi Pro is not backwards compatible. I'm upgrading my Nest Wifi to the Nest Wifi Pro myself.

Notable differences aside from the Wifi6e etc:
      - Nest Wifi Pro has router ports on each point. Unlike Nest Wifi where Modems and Access Points were different devices, there's only 1 type for Nest Wifi Pro
      - Nest Wifi Pro does not have a built in speaker (same as the Nest Wifi Modem didn't - but the Nest Wifi Access Points did). So that's a loss of functionality
      - Nest Wifi Pro acts as a Matter hub as well if that's important to you

    • No they don't. Google Support article asks you to take note of old settings and remove the old Google first and then install the new ones and put the settings back in. If the WIFI SSID and password didn't change then connecting devices should just start working.

The only functionality I'll miss are the speakers on the old Google Wifi extra points (smart speaker). I'm waiting one more year and then will probably bite the bullet for Wifi 63 mesh to upgrade (not necessarily Google).

Any chance getting it price matched at JB Hi-fi or Officeworks or do they check if it is in stock?

    • +1

I've had the Google cameras twin pack price matched at Broadmedows, they only agreed to give me two so 4 cameras in total.

      • Thanks. Fingers crossed trying my luck online chat before I go instores. I want to do that before it shows Out of Stock online at Bunning's website.

Update: no luck - refused as it shows item out of stock :(

    • +1

Very unlikely when it's "below threshold" they require approval to override it and generally gets stopped there. If something gets approved and it wasn't supposed to the manager gets in trouble.
You could try your luck but in general it's a no go.

      • Figured as much - trying my luck with the chat online lets see what they can come down to.

  • If you want more configurability, better off going with the Netgear Orbi Pro models.

  • Should I replace my Deco M5 with this?

  • Fck me, just bought em at $300 from JB in Dec and thought it was a bargain LOL

  • Great device, currently using this but don't expect to be maxing out your line speed past the main router that's connect to the internet. It cannot push bandwidth to the other routers for shit (they're not satellites as they can all be used as routers).

Btw, the price I'm seeing is $122.86

    • Is that over Ethernet backhaul?

      • Wireless. It's nowhere near as good as the Netgear Orbi's wireless backhaul. I have an RBK852 in my wardrobe as backup for when this gives up the ghost.

    • Yeah, I was seeing $122.86, but the moment I changed the location to a store with stock it changed to $150.42. Though I didn't try all, so some might still be at $122.86. I didn't push it with the Lismore store, I was happy enough with the $300~ discount compared to OfficeWorks and that they were willing to process it over the phone. But you're right, you might be able to score it a bit cheaper still.

      • The google will price match of $122.86 included delivery BUT you have to buy it at full price and get refund, someone shared the refund amount already

        • Do you have the case# for that? Because they told me that Bunnings is not authorised reseller so they will not match to bunnings.

  • Port Lincoln has no stock

  • Damn just bought two older nest for $130 - since when were these so cheap

    • Clearance / runout. Bunnings aren't stocking Google products anymore.

    • since when were these so cheap

      For a few months now.
      It's been posted before.

  • How are these compared to the Eero 6+?

    • they have QoS over SQM that the Eero 6+ uses.

I know which one I'd prefer.

In saying that, there are different forms of QoS nowadays, but I wouldn't like to assume Google added different QoS methods over the usual.

  • Called all of them - out of stock everywhere :(

People who purchased from Griffith store - got it the cheapest - 50$ for a 3 pack.

    • Thanks for letting us know. I've marked it as Out of Stock now. Sorry you missed out.

      • Thanks mate. Awesome deal! Tired JB-HiFi - they are saying as long as it shows out of stock they cannot match the price :( if anyone is successful, please do share the receipt.
