    • Ive done the same 2 years back and that 24 months plan runs out in 5 days, so yeah will be doing this deal to roll over another 24 monts, have to admit 2 year ago deal was better, well had trade-ins with older phone or phones through JB-HiFi site for trading an older phone (dont see that is available here on this post?) think too deal overall was better i think with vouchers added on, honestly cant remember

One thing i made a mistake on and I panicked is trying to sell the Samsung mobile the S23 to early and ended up selling at a lower price then i wantrd, noticed prices went up on eBay and generally about a month or so later when all the intial sales ended and stock was very low, so might be worth waiting and hold on the price your tryjng to sell

But saying that i certainly dont own a crystal ball lolz and maybe luck might play a big part or color of mobile, being plus or Ultra version, storage size, hard to say lolz

Good luck either way and certainly post how you went 👍

PS: do a big search on eBay, save the search, I'm sure seen a plus about $1536 but global version i think 256g

Edit: definitely got an offer from a seller for the Aussie version 512gb Ultra version fot $1806

      • Thanks. The benefit of whether this works as a cheap data plan kinda hinges on achieving a certain sale price for the phone! But never having sold a samsung phone 2nd hand I dont have any experience to draw on sadly lol.

  • Still waiting for the collection text. Have most people here got theirs already?

    • I haven't got my text either.

    • You wont get it, call the store and ask them.

  • 👍😆🙏

  • signed up today, the guy in Jbhifi stuffed up so he signed up with new numbers instead of porting plan but JBhifi honoured their mistake by not taking the difference in phone values ($87)(port in is $0 but new number is $1600 gift card) . Cancelled with Telstra chat for an invoice of $799.92. Going overseas so will claim TRS. Great deal! Thanks Op

    • Hi there glad that you have cancelled smoothly. Can anyone share how to cancel it with Telstra support ?I signed the Contract in JB at about 11am with number ported into Telstra successfully. but when I got home about 5pm I was still not able to find this 24M service in "my Telstra " app. Did you just chat with online support on Telstra website without login the service console?

      • just go to Telstra chat on their app and tell them to cancel, quoted new signing porting numbers, they should be able to cancel it straight away and send you invoice within couple hours

        • Got it cancelled with live chat Telstra. Thanks for help. Have you got the S25+ from store?

          • @NickNick: yes, last one available at the time of signing up

          • @NickNick: I just signed up @ JB Hi-Fi, but I need to wait till next week to get the phone.

I take it that you can still cancel the sim plan first before you get the S25+?

Telstra agent gave me a scare when she said

The current plan includes a gift card with a commitment to stay on that plan for 24 months. If you disconnect your plan early, you’ll need to repay the value of the gift card amounting to $526.93, $549.84, and $766.59.

After asking the total cost she backtracked to $766.59 but makes me wonder if JB Hi-Fi or Telstra can pursue any more costs from me? She was also very clear the first month's payment is non-refundable (for me at least).

    • I am getting same exact message related to first month payment but I am thinking to try another agent later for this

I get the feeling all the agents may be very rigid on the first month's fee now, I imagine has been some communication sent out to all of them. If anyone is able to get the $99 refunded today, let me know.

yes seems to be this way. aah well my fault for jumping on this deal this late.

Likewise, couldn't get the $99 refund today, they have probably all been told not to issue it with so many ozb peeps jumping on this in the past month and a bit. Still a great deal on the phone

For those who have cancelled the plan through Telstra app, check if you have got points to redeem.

Previously I bought 2 pcs of Samsung S25 and cancelled the plan through Telstra app. I got more than 10k points ($526 x2). So, I redeemed Belong $80 sim card for free and have activated the sim card today 😀. I chose data plan only, so it can be used for 5 months free data for me. It can still receive sms. So, I can use the new number for other freebies ;-)

  • Just got off the chat with a Telstra agent via live chat and he said he can't cancel JB-Hi-Fi plan via messaging with an existing contract and asked me to go to JB Hi-FI. Should I try again with another agent?
