Chasing an entry level light gaming/office monitor. Will either of these be ok? Not sure if I want/need curved.

thanks - upon reflection, I think 27" would be sufficient. I'm figuring quality over quantity
yeah 27inch, IPS, 1440p, 165hz hits the mark for what you're after.
The stands can be a quite large/bulky/ugly.
Get yourself quality monitor arms like these:
I ended up going for a Lenovo r27QE for $277. https://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/p/lenovo-leg…
I think that should do me.
Hmm… think I should have found a 32"! The 27" seem just a bit too small for my liking :(
Anyone care to comment on this monitor?

Only if you’re okay with a VA panel. Not that VA is bad, but a lot of people, including me, prefer IPS.
For a 32-inch entry-level monitor, I’d go for IPS, at least 165Hz refresh rate, and 2K resolution. I also prefer flat screens over curved ones. I remember LG has some entry level gaming monitors that tick those boxes.
