Could you guys at least match the price you offered a few months ago?

I wished we could… but the prices have gone up across the board… this is already in the red!

Seems stupidly expensive given a second hand micro PC is less than this

      Caldigit TS4 sweating profusely

  • It’s a good dock, have one from work and no issues with it.

Can probably get a no name dock with similar or better features for much less on aliexpress though

  • What power adaptor (if any) does this come with?

    • The dock has an adaptor capable of delivering up to 100W.

      • How does it plug into wall power?

        • Standard AU wall socket.

          • @Hub by Triforce: Is there a power brick?

            • +1

@5kbjvb3o: Yes it is a brick style with a 240v cable at one end and another barrel style plug on a cable at the other end of it.
We've got the docks on all office desks and they just seem to work well day in / day out. YMMV.

  • What is the 4K freq?

    • Ok, seems only 60Hz

  • Got one. Can’t use this for on a Mac mini for dual screen.

Only works for 1 screen. Don’t get this if you using a Mac.

    • Don't think this hub has a DisplayLink chip in it, usually hubs with DisplayLink chip advertise it as feature and charges a further $30-50 premium on top
Good luck landing your ideal hub

I thought this was suppose to do dual screen on Mac

      • yeah but like frkino said, this hub doesn't have displaylink so it can't support dual screens on any mac.

I bought one of these the last time the deal came up.
I've used it with three generations of Macbook Pro: M1, M3 Pro, M4 Pro.

It hasn't been a great experience, and I wouldn't recommend you buy one for use with a Macbook.
Problem 1: The dock seems to tell the laptop that the monitor can do high refresh rates, and so the laptop defaults to the highest. However the screen will only show black, until you go into the settings and adjust the refresh rate down to 60 Hz. Figuring this out can be a pain!
Problem 2: The dock often fails to reinitialise the monitor after coming back from suspend or something just from plugging the laptop in. The screen stays off, but the laptop thinks it is connected. Unplugging and replugging the dock fixes it, but it's a bit annoying.

Other than that, it's reasonable — power is solid, it has lots of USB ports. But for the money I wished it worked better with the Macbooks. These glitches feel like something you'd expect with a sub-$100 dock, not a nearly-$200-dock. If I plug the monitor directly into a macbook (either with HDMI, or a USB-C-to-Displayport adaptor) then the issues don't appear.
