5d mark iv is still more than an adequate sensor these days. higher pixel count and phenomenal clarity make it a primary body for a lot of pros I bump into. if only it had a fully articulated screen like 6d mii
plus it's a bit heavier than 6d mkii, noticeably so. but Dual Pixel AF is reliable so you can use it like a mirrorless
ping me if you're considering to pass it on, in studio I sometimes wish I had a slightly higher pixel count for crops.
compared to this zf, 5d is still a better sensor despite its age. it may not be as good in low light situations, but pros work around it no problem there, and you don't care about that in studio.
Yeah I originally had a 6D and that was a great camera but the AF really bugged me. Sadly like you said the 6Dii sensor seemed to take a step backwards, so I stepped up to the 5D.
These days I really only bring it out for birthdays and photoshoots of the kids.
I already have my collection of glass established for the camera so likely would never get rid of it, but like all enthusiasts like to dabble and try new gear all the time!
@atlas: Canon's latest gen sensors are very advanced (think R5 mkii, R6 mkii, R8 got same sensor as R6 mkii, cheapest way to try latest tech), but for me no real reason to upgrade. mostly shoot studio, or with fast glass outdoors, sensor in 6d mkii only lacks a bit in dynamic range department which I not care for really, otherwise can't fault it. with good light setup, and good glass, RAW's look awesome straight out of the camera, minimal tweaks necessary.
I just upgraded my 5d3 to a 1dxMk2. Loving it!
It is a bit heavy to lug on holidays though

Yeah they deletes when it’s out of stock. But if you can find any in store- person offer is still valid. I got one display stock. That was the only one left in store.

Agree with Jimothy. Better call ahead. I called the generic JB HIFI number to inquire about stock but they couldn't hold it for me. So I just walked in. There are a few stores in Sydney CBD so worth giving it a go.

For video, anyone compare z 35/1.8S with the z 28-75/2.8? Currently using z 24-70/2.8S but it's quite a bit to handle. Given the current 50% off, the x 28-75/2.8S is looking appealing.
i had the 24-70 F2.8S, goated zoom lens. stick to it lol. all the lenses you mentioned are optically inferior.
for video, depends what you're after? i think the latest trend is to shoot wide @ 20mm or 24mm. Latter if you're not vlogging.
also - 35mm F1.8S is universally agreed as the black sheep of the Nikon Z family. Prior to the release of F1.4 35mm and 50mm, it was the worst performing of the F1.8 lot. i read a blog comparing the 35mm F1.8S with other 35mms, including some from the film era like Contax.. and it performs worse than lenses launched 2-3 decades ago.

whats the camera u want? its a lot of camera for the money, great value and if you're like me woulda gone great in the pool room in the camera display case.
I can't justify the Z8 price but that'd be my pick. Bird mode, ergonomics, a big zoom and go birding. Lots of megapixels to zoom via crop. Z7iii would be my compromise but it doesn't exist.
I'd have grabbed this at 1/2 price and put on a grip. It'd be good enough and 1/3 at that price.
