[Switch] Metroid Prime Remastered (OOS), WarioWare & More $5 Each + Delivery ($0 C&C) @ EB Games

797

'Cheap Tuesday' currently opened to EB Games Plus Members and open to the public at 9pm AEST/10pm AEDT.

EB Games is running another major sale with super deep discounts on games, including some unbelievable prices on Switch titles—and they’re unbelievable for a reason. At the time of writing, you need to be an EB Games Plus member to access these prices, which is a paid service.

For everyone else who isn’t a member, these deals will become available from 9 PM AEST today (yes, even though it’s a Monday). That’s AEST, Queensland time. Here’s what we’ve found so far—though, if there’s anything left once the Plus members are done, we’d be very surprised.

Marketing membership and clearing out stock for stores that need to clear space would be my best guess.
I know there's a lot of stuff that gathers loads of dust in smaller town/city stores.

I would assume they're probably also going to shut down a bunch of stores eventually too. Amazon, ebay and other stores delivering free of charge would definitely be killing profit margins.

      • These sales are the only reason I'm interested in the membership, although I haven't cracked yet.

I think moreso than most other stores in the same retail space, EB Games/Zing really need to regularly clear stock. They really don't have much floor/shelf space.

Given it is not even Tuesday yet when I write this comment and already they supposedly have none of their flagship sale items left (and I question if they even had more than 2 units of each item to begin with) they may as well just call it 'No Stock Tuesday' or 'Lets just waste your time Tuesday'….. really wish they would just go out of business.

  • Bought some games for potential trade in deals with incoming switch 2. Thanks!

Not going to neg the deal but I do agree with commentary above.
    1. Very limited quantities (if any)
    2. Delivery unavailable for many products.
    3. If available, split shipping charges kill the deal.
    4. Closest pick up either hundreds or thousands of Kms away.
    5. Website better than last time but still not working great.
    Overall a frustrating experience.

Website working fine for me, and you can filter by what's avaliable for home delivery easily.

  • Got two pop vinyls! The other stuff I was going to get but wasn't worth it with the $10 delivery fee as it would be normal prices.

Most stuff is out of stock, darn I didn't see this till it was way later

    • Even if you saw 10 mins in, they were mostly oos

  • Nothing left

  • Seeing this on the morning of "cheap tuesday" and that they are all gone from monday night is a little depressing. Been hunting for a deal on metroid prime

It's called a "Out of Stock Tuesday Sale" 100% Saving.

      • Agreed, in fact EB Games just sent me the email now about the sale, basically northing left now.

Maybe EB is heading down the path of Catch.

Appears to be a bait and switch tactic, but perfectly legal in Australia and never prosecuted.

All out of stock except in Port Hedland Detention Centre

  • Put 6 items in my cart, none in stock in QLD. Waste of time.

  • Warioware OOS

Managed to get two games for $15 each for click and collect today as I was grocery shopping

I traded them back right away for one of their current ‘free’ game offer via a trade-in deal (Xenoblade chronicles X: DE)

$30 for a 1st party Nintendo game (and a good one at that) is a banger deal

      Brilliant :)
