Home Termite Renewal

Hi just noticed our house in Perth hasn't had any termite inspection in 3/4 years, before we had it regular every year with Termico, had under slab treatment done on the house and barrier when house built 13 years ago with them also.

Got a couple inspection prices around $200/250 area. Just wondering what the next treatments or price might be, company said they couldn't give a price over the phone until sales rep comes out, classic line lol, which might be fair enough, but don't what to be over sold on stuff we don't need or ripped off.

Average sized house ,4/2 brick walls, wooden joists in roof. Any advice or feedback welcome.

get a few quotes and don't fall for the, "if you decide to go with us right now, we will discount by $100 since we are already here" line.

    • Haha

    • There is an another line after, to maintain the warranty and the protection, we need to check annually.

      • We stopped with the annual check every year as it seemed it was just a token check tbh

  • Perth - Slab & brick walls - how would they get up to the roof?
I've seen them go up a timber door frame, but no slab and water leak under timber floor.

    • Climb outside or through weep holes incavity

    • Mine did, could see the lines going up my garage brick wall. luckily when they reached the structure, they decided to leave for some reason lol

  • Termite inspection.. 13 year old house, classic.

Whars so classic about that ?

  • Termites are ninjas.By the time you find them it's often too late. Look into your own DIY monitoring and treatment options. Get a dedicated full inspection done every 3 or 4 years. Probably less risk if you are not close to bushland.

    • Cheers many thanks

  • do not use FLICK

    • Cheers mate ,what went wrong?

  • I went with Swatapest, he threw in the inspection after we did the 8 year barrier treatment for $1500, 540m2 block but that varies depending on the perimeter area so cost depends on that.
