Lazy Spa Miami Cost to Use, Extension Cord etc

Thinking of buying a lazy spa Miami well wife is keen on it im not so keen.
Do any of you own this spa and your thoughts of it?
Are they expensive to run? What does it cost you?
We are both newbie’s to one so may ask questions as time goes on.
Our patio area out back which is under cover roof of house has no plug socket so I was going to get a extension cable from that area which goes downside of house and plug that into an outlet socket there which has two socket one already used by something and obviously the spa if we get one.
I’m told it’s not recommended to do this or if you do need to get the right cable and even a reel one is a no no as it’s better laid out.

Other options is to place the spa down the side of house where socket is not a great deal of room and have a smaller gazebo or something to keep out the sun and a little more privacy.

I have further questions I will leave them till later

Consider you will also legally* need pool fencing according to regulations, and time and cost to maintain chemicals and clean it - apparently no cover included so budget for that too.

    extension cord

At least get the ip66 outdoor rated ones.. again technically, shouldn’t be used for semi-permanent / permanent installs. Where possible keep it out of the sun.

    running

You will need to verify yourself but a quick google says this spa pulls 2,050W - you said double gpo, something else on there, you will want to verify total is not over 2400, (ideally should be under this with some margin)

  • It looks a little small. Too small to host a party around?

    • I have no idea on the answer, but I have so many questions about this photo

How are those 4 people sitting? How can anyone claim that fits 4 people? What exactly is going on in this photo? Is the guy in the middle completely obvious to the toe based intercourse going on around him? The other three certainly look like they know what's going on. Do I have to be that white to use a lay-z-spa?

I'm pretty sure all the the people in the photo were born without legs or have had both legs amputated.

I do admire their positive outlook on life. I'd find it difficult.

I have been using one of these in Melbourne for a few years in the summer. If found on special at Bunnings they are well worth the money, more suited to one person considering the size.

I have used it via a grid connect energy smart plug and it works out at around 8 kWh ($1.5) per day depending on the weather when set to 38 degrees.

One of these tablets in the dispenser every week keeps the water perfect.

    • Are these any different to the barracuda spa bromine tablets?
      Hy-Clor 600g Li'l Pools Chemical Tablets

Yes wife has just purchased the Miami one and so I’m trying to get as much info and details on what I need and setting it up and everything else maintaining it etc

  • Add in the cost of the required pool fencing and certification.
