$10/$12 off Selected Monthly Postpaid Plans for 6 Months: 27GB $14.80, 100GB $29.80 & More (New Service Only) @ Moose Mobile

590

I found this Moose Mobile $12 off for the first six months. Originally $26.80 - $12 = $14.80 per month. I think the price of $14.80 is pretty good, even cheaper than their lowest plan 8GB at $19.80 (no promotion). There are other plans with promotion as well 40GB ($23.80) 100GB ($29.80) 200GB ($45.80), but I don't need that much data… so I am happy paying $14.80 for 27GB per month.

No lock-in contract

27GB per month

Optus 5G Network

Aussie support (this appears to be a key selling point, their call centre is in Brisbane). Very willing to help.

Unlimited standard text and talk in Australia

p/s: I have no experience with them. Found them. Gave them a call and awaiting for my sim card by Australia Post.

Actually I called Moose, got them to send me the sim card. They need a credit card to charge the $14.80, the delivery is free. I asked them, since I havent received the sim card and maybe… I am not going to immediately transfer my number to Moose… I told them I might do it next month. They said no problem.

The account starts once I activate it (receive the sim and I need to call them to activate the sim). So I will do that next month.

Have used Moose on 2 occasions over the years and have only ported out after discount promo ended.
Just be wary they are a post paid service if matters but other than that had absolutely no issues.

    • Credit check will apply then.

      • Is this actually accurate? I've not once seen a postpaid mobile plan on my credit report, not even an enquiry. Have had at least half a dozen different ones across different carriers.

        • +1

Just like all smaller providers, their billing system is sh!thouse, so be careful.

        • Should do if it's postpaid.

          • @tunzafun001: Just going off experience, it hasn't ever appeared in my credit report. I've done all sorts of postpaid plans. Zilch

            • @Gina Rinehart: Same here. From my experience via one phone conversation,… they just asked a few info about my current Mobile provider, account detail, phone number etc… very straight forward.

I am thinking there is no in depth credit check. Its not like the bill is "uncapped" and could run into hundreds of dollars like in the past etc… it's just $14.80 per month.

  • Their 100/20 NBN is pretty good for $65.80 as well. I was with them a few months back and didn't notice any difference between them and Superloop. However, I'm in Brisbane and so are they apparently. I'm not sure if the speeds/latency will be worse in a different State?

The only reason I went back to Superloop was to get the $100 gift card (below), and the 5 speed boosts per month is handy.

    • Is that 100/20 NBN plan only for 6 months?

      • Yeah it's only for 6 months according to their website. However, I was only with them a couple of months before I switched to Superloop for the Mastercard deal, so I don't know if you can negotiate with them to extend it longer.

Their $65.80 "sale" has been going on for months. I will be going back to them once my Superloop discount runs out if it's still the same price. I was getting decent speeds there even in peak hours —-> https://www.speedtest.net/result/16966439947

        • In that case wouldn't Tangerine be better since it's only $60 a month for 6 months for their 100/20?

  • Wasn’t too bad when I was with them, deals are good for 6 months then ported out.

  • Cool, thanks OP

  • not bad ! is this ongoing right?

  • Mine ends in March after a year. It’s been good. No issues.
Not sure where to port to next.

    • I got the etel $10 10gb 10 months. Not as good as moose but great value at that price compared to anyone else. They also don't have an app

      • I listen to audio books and stream music in the car I checked and my usage is around 22gb.
$10 a month and I’d snap it up if it was enough data.

  • Just went back to Moose last month with this deal. Second time with them. No issues. Great customer service.

  • No issues using them on a previous promo. Ported to Circles after the promo finished, and actually much prefer the simplicity and clarity of Moose's app.

  • Nothing for existing of course. My 12 month promo is ending this month, any idea where to go next for $10-$15 a month?

    • +3

Why would they, might as well undercut their prices for everyone then go out of business, try Circles Life $10 plan.

  • 200GB decent quota for tiktokers

  • I've been with them on a previous 12 month promo that's ending at the end of this month.

Spoke with support and they said existing customers can port out even for a single day and sign up for another promo as a "new customer".
Would need to order a new sim but it's free delivery so no worries. Just fyi for those on a previous promo.

    • Do they have a port out fee or no? Some these are sneakily adding a line in T&C about port out fee.

      • Don't think so. I'm about to port out. Will give an update if I see any extra fees.

  • my 12 month discount plan anneversary date with Moose is 5th Feb. Can I port out on the 4th and port back in order to avoid being charge full monthly fee?
