    1/4 * 1/2 = 12.5% saving, not worth a 24 month contract if you ask me

IMO one of the best mobile broadband plans available to many users was the $39/6Gb deal, however this deal goes another step further in that it decreased the cost even further- Small decrease to you but still lesser to pay overall- worthy of a mention to others. Still have to watch out not to exceed monthly limit though. To people considering mobile broadband as an alternative, such as myself, this only becomes an added saving on a plan that is already great value.

    • the savings might be worthwhile for some -thanks to the above two posters, for the the unhyped analysis of this bargain.

    • You aren't meant to think! :P
The honeymoon period (ie. half price) is supposed to tempt people to sign up for obscenely long contracts.

    • I agree. Locking yourself into three (one of the worst for coverage) for 24 month is not a good idea only for 6 months of savings.

  • Great deal, was considering it, and now this is the clincher.

    Thanks andrewk35.

  • if you're not in 3 network? does it still redirects to Telstra network? (this can cost heaps btw)

  • I'm with 3 and I like 3. But be careful though, 3 coverage is really crap. I'm in south Sydney, and can hardly get 3 signal for my mobile in my house. There is exactly 1 spot in my house that I can get signal, and I must not lift the phone up when talking, have to lay it down on the table and use speaker phone. It's really annoying at first, but i'm used to it now.

    • Thumbs up for your perseverance :) Buying a mobile phone that can only be used lying on one exact spot at home. I am currently on 3 as well, living in South-Eastern suburbs within 10km of CBD. I usually get only 1 bar at home and often have to roam to Telstra…

Might change back to Optus soon.

  • Honestly, don't fall for it. Have you ever been with Three? My phone is on roaming in the middle of the city and at my house (5 mins from the city) which means no broadband coverage. Being on a 24 month contract with three is just throwing your money away for two years, even if it's cheap.

  • Don't forget moneybackco offers $80 cash rebate for 3 mobile broadband

    great deal

  • A friend of mine is getting good speeds for browsing and some chat programs, from her house … she did check before hand that she was supposed to have good coverage (according to coverage maps etc)
