JAN20OFF

Original Coupon Deal

Seems like my last post of this item helped a lot of people out so I’ll post it again since it’s on sale. $80 for the GP2000 without eBay Plus and $76 with eBay Plus. Not the biggest discount but if your car battery is dead then a discount is better than no discount.

If your car is good then I would recommend waiting till the 22% discount is out some other months and then buying it.

  • Code not working any more? OOS?

    • Still works fine for me. You can try other sale post to see if it works

The GT units are awesome, used mine about 30 times for jump starts and never misses a beat. The GP ones are good, but definitely go for the GT if you can.

Have you run your battery dead 30 times?

No most have been helping people, a lot during covid/winter when people weren't driving as much and the cold is hard on batteries. But i have a classic car and 4wd which don't get driven as often i've had to jump, my ride-on mower after the drought etc.

Notable jumps were an old chap about 80yo in the cold, bonnet up and no phone. He was going to wait an hour to try cranking again hoping it would build up enough charge to retry. Got him going, looked up battery deals and found SuperCheap had his model on sale and sent him there. Looped past SCA 30min later to see them replacing his battery.

Another was a woman Xmas eve, she had just phoned someone to drive 40min in to town to buy 2 sets of jumper leads before shops shut. She was parked nose in so you couldn't get a car close enough with one set. Jumped with Gooloo and she called them off.

Oh and another funny one. I was in the car waiting for my wife, seen a car jumping another they were parked a dozen cars down from me. After 10 minutes of the faffing about i went down and asked if they needed a hand. Between old crap jumper leads and the dead car requiring more amps the donor car couldn't get it started.

I said no worries and came back with the Gooloo. I got a lot of "yeah nah" looks, and one said that wont work. Dead car instantly sprung to life like it had a brand new battery. So everyone gathered round like a cave man who just discovered fire asking questions, and an onlooker even took a photo so he could go home and buy one lol.

Anyway, i always stop if someone's broken down.

Bought one before, seller refused to provide tax invoice.

GT4000S plus case is the pick for $150, awesome device, it can recharge at 100W with the included 12V cigarette adapter, it can charge devices like a battery bank with 100w discharge, built in torch light, can power 12V devices like a camping fridge for hours and simultaneously recharge if you add an external battery bank.

It's a beast for jump starting cars multiple times.

    HIGHLY recommend!

Is the A3 jump starter and air compressor combo any good? I have a long motorcycle trip coming up, and this could be handy.

    • If I were you I wouldn't worry about bringing a jump starter on the trip, motorcycles are easy enough to get push started. Get a smaller air compressor and save on weight and size.

does anyone know if it's safe to jump start the car? i have a brick from this brand that i bought in 2022, haven't used it once lol..

  • These are great go for the 3000

  • +3

I highly recommend these. Mine saved me a few times and I've used it to jump start a handful of random strangers including a stranded family last weekend.

    • +2

Indeed. I also recommend throwing various usb charging cables into the pouch. Used mine last weekend when the kid forgot to charge their BT headphones but had to grab a $10 cable from the servo. Now both jump packs have an assortment of cables.

  • +1 for these. I bought one a couple years ago and actually had to use it for the first time this past week. Battery died and had to jumpstart multiple times last few days. Hadnt been charged in over a year and was still showing full bars and worked every time.

  • I'm looking at one of these to have for emergency flay-battery situations.
I have had been using a Target 10,000mAh one for a long time (which has saved me quite a few times) but I just noticed it is bulging so whilst it still seems to have power I presume it is best to replace it as its probably not safe.
Could I get away with the GP2000? It seems to indicate Petrol cars up to 8L so well in excess of my needs.
Is there any particular features that make the GT3000 worth the extra cost?

    • The Target one is turning into one spicy pillow so please dispose of it haha. GP2000 should be good enough for most cars anyway. The GT3000 can jump start bigger engine car and have more capacity but if you have a smaller car and don’t have a need for a bigger power bank then go with the 2000.

  • Can they be used as a normal power bank to charge phone?

    • +1

Yes. I use mine every weekend to keep our ipad charged while I'm scoring on playhq for the kids cricket games

  • waiting till the 22% discount

Will need to be approved by uncle Jack.

  • There seems to be a cheaper different brand of the GT4000S on Amazon, $129 after a $20 coupon which expires today. Posted deal here: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/889469

For anyone also thinking about doing an offer on eBay for lower price, I tried to offer $140 for the GT4000S on eBay (https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/334416452022), but I got a counter offer of $179.00. I didn't try offering any higher.

  • Any idea what model i should buy for a Petrol car? Looking at some or the photos it looks like diesel and gas specific.

    • Its more so down to how many amps you need, Diesel requires less to get going thats all.
You can use the official site to give you an idea - https://gooloo.com.au/collections/jump-starter

I personally have a GT400S however i have race cars/build cars/broken cars/imported cars so im jump starting a whole lot more than the regular person after abit of a safety net.

If your only wanting to get yourself out of trouble a few times before needing to charge it then you really can go down to the GP200 which is there smallest.

  • Is it safe to keep these in the car all the time? (so you have it when you need it)
(out of the sun, but it still gets very hot inside on a hot day)

    • Yep pretty safe, I keep mine in the glove box all the time and my car hasn’t catch on fire yet.

  • I notice that the GP2000 specs say 24 month standby time but the GT3000 doesn't mention standby time.
I suspect 24 months is optimistic, but has anyone experienced reasonable standby time on the GT3000?

    • Their other listing for the GT3000 confirms that the standby time is 24 months for that model too (probably in "ideal" conditions).
