New Year, new promo codes. Ignore eBay's search link though, they stuffed it up (not unusual) or still had a hangover from New Year parties.
I can see the codes in multiple stores like Camera House, Just Wines, OutBaxCamping, Futu and Flexispot…

Offer Period. This offer is provided by eBay Marketplaces GmbH (“eBay”) and commences at 10:00am AEDT on 2 January 2025 and ends at 11:59pm AEDT on 31 January 2025 (“Offer Period”). eBay reserves the right to cancel the offer at any time as set out in the Changes clause below.
Eligibility. This offer is available to eBay Plus members and non-eBay Plus members as set out in clause 4 below.
Conditions. This offer entitles you to:
non-eBay Plus members to 15% off; and
eBay Plus members to an extra 5% off (total 20% off),
the pre-coupon purchase price (excluding postage costs) during the Offer Period, up to a maximum discount of $300 per transaction. Multiple items may be purchased in 5 transactions per person, including cancelled transactions as set out in the Cancellations clause below (up to a maximum of 10 items per transaction).

“Eligible Items” means items listed on eBay.com.au where a link to these terms and conditions and the coupon redemption code JAN15OFF (for non-Plus members) or JAN20OFF (for eBay Plus members) is found in the item listing, or the item appears in the following URL:
https://www.ebay.com.au/b/Coupon-Promotions/bn_7116150158
Redemption. To redeem this offer during the Offer Period, enter the redemption code JAN15OFF (for non-Plus members) or JAN20OFF (for eBay Plus members) into the redemption code box during checkout. This code cannot be used in conjunction with any other eBay offer, coupon or voucher. You can only use the redemption code 5 times during the Offer Period. Where a transaction for which a redemption code has been used is cancelled either by you or a seller, the redemption for the cancelled transaction cannot be re-used and will still be considered a redemption as set out in the Cancellations clause below. The code is provided to you as an eBay User and the limitations on its usage apply on that basis even though you may have registered a number of different eBay User IDs.

Horrible "deals" with this, looking at Unifi cameras Futu's price with a 20% discount is still $24 more expensive than Scorptec's current price.

Left ebay last year. Really happy

Biggest drawback is they don't have a system in place to encourage sellers to resolve issues, buyers are on their own.

In contrast, Amazon at least makes an attempt to help. Personal experience, seller agreed to partial refund to remediate an issue, then he went cold and ignored by messages. Amazon stepped in refunded in full, presumably debited from the seller's account.

With eBay, unless you paid through Credit Card or PayPal (within 180 days), then there's some protection, if using discounted gift card and seller choose to ignore you, then good luck after 90 days.

Buying from reputable official stores is generally not an issue, same as buying directly from their online or physical shops.

getting these codes without a proper search is booty hole

Yeah I just followed the promotion links only and added two items through that method. Both items code won't work.

Try to click on the 'shop bv category: 17% off' links are all dead links. Absolute joke.

Just buy Amazon prime lmao. eBay deals always suck but at least with prime you get prime video and 1 - 2 day delivery.
