And all together now, let's sing the following to the tune of "It's Raining Men" seeing there's been a flood of EV car deals over the past few months.

I feel the power rising, prices crashing down,
I see the EVs coming, rolling through the town,
I hear the deals are sweeter, it’s a revolution,
It’s a price drop party, causing such a sensation!
(Pre-Chorus)
It’s a bargain blast, so don’t be slow,
You better get your EV, the prices are low!
(Chorus)
It’s dropping down, EV prices are here,
You’ll save a lot of cash, get behind the wheel,
It’s dropping down, EVs everywhere,
It’s a price cut party and it’s going to be fair!
(Verse 2)
The gas prices are rising, but we’ve got a new way,
Electric power saving, every single day,
No more worries over filling up your tank,
With every dollar saved, you're thanking all the banks!
(Pre-Chorus)
Come and get your ride, don't hesitate,
The price is right, get it while you wait!
(Chorus)
It’s dropping down, EV prices are here,
Save on the future, let’s shift into gear,
It’s dropping down, EVs everywhere,
Drive into savings, and don’t you despair!
(Bridge)
Sustainable driving, no more gas to pay,
The future’s electric, we’re on our way!
The price is coming, it’s going to be fine,
You’ll save so much money, while you drive that line!
(Chorus)
It’s dropping down, EV prices are here,
You’ll be saving big, year after year,
It’s dropping down, EVs everywhere,
It’s a price drop party, and you’ve got a share!
(Outro)
It’s dropping down, EV prices are here…
Get yours today!

    Car finance lol

    • That's a no from me, dawg.

  • So how mich is it now?

  • Can you charge this with any tesla supercharger now or is tesla still limiting this in some way?

    • Only open Tesla chargers. It will be limited to 100kW based on 800V architecture of car.

  • +1

Great deal. Keep them coming. But I'm holding out for V2G before I launch. The idea of driving a mobile battery that can be used to run the home once the sun goes down is enough to wait for. Just wished it was sooner

Hyundai make good EVs but they are being slaughtered on price. The Chinese and even Tesla, across the board, are way cheaper.

    Tough times ahead for Hyundai.

    • Can anyone compete with what is essentially Chinese dumping…

      • Ban is the way…

      • Can anyone compete

Reputation is a thing that many people value, and Chinese brands don't have any.

        • People don't seem to care as it's so cheap… Or say theyre good here on ozbargain

    • Same thing for Polestar and others.

  • +1

So if I pay cash I don't get 20k off?

    • +3

Correct. Stupid move if they want to move units.

  • Hyundai is still selling MY23 cars in 2025? That's a worry. MG had a fire sale on the MG4 in September 2024 to get rid of MY23 stock.

    • Likely clearing out stock before MY26 facelifted model comes out this year. Maybe next year in Australia?

  • +2

This isnt really a deal for a 2 year old EV and a model that clearly sold terribly.

    Also not the most practical.

Now if it was the ioniq 5…

  • Put the price in the title. Just more oznotice board oz free advertising

  • Oz discount circle jerk but no body knows the price

  • +1

Manufacturers: Shows their hand at how large the markups are

Everyone on OzBargain: Wow EVs are so well priced let’s buy them

Lmaooo, I’ll be back in a few years when they’ve hit rock bottom pricing.

  • Dunno the end price but looking at the title looks like a rip off

Shame Hyundai has the worst privacy policy on the market. I won't be buying a car that sends voice recordings to data brokers around the world.

    https://www.choice.com.au/about-us/media/media-releases/2024…

I asked Hyundai if there was any way to turn off the privacy invading spyware and instead of providing any help they gave me attitude with the "are you even a Hyundai customer?" Well I'm not going to be one now bitch

    • Surely there are videos of how to disable spyware on EVs just like there are videos for activating windows 10

    • Wow, thanks for pointing this out. Outrageous. Looks like with a bit of effort you can disable it, although it's not clear if you lose some features of your car by doing so.

Jaysus, Hyundai charging almost $100k for an EV sedan.

They must have a shedload of these sitting there. In what world is this competitive with anything else on the market?

    • +1

Not competitive against Chinese EVs but it is for others

      • +1

So not competitive against 80% of the market?

Id get a polestar over this any day of the week.

        • +1

Tesla alone is more than 20%

Hyundai charging almost $100k for an EV sedan.

      Ioniq 6 starts at $67k

The $100k Hyundai is the Ioniq 5N which is quicker than most Ferraris and Lamborghinis for less than 1/5th the price. Until a couple of years ago it was not possible for an average person to afford such performance from a factory car. This is a win in my book.

      • +1

Where are you getting an Ioniq 6 for $67k?

        • +1

Fat finger? Must be 77K looking at the website.

        • -1

Where are you getting an Ioniq 6 for $67k?

          https://www.carsales.com.au/cars/details/2023-hyundai-ioniq-…

          • @1st-Amendment: Hmm, hard to tell if that's a dealer covered by this offer. When I look at official dealer websites the entry level is $75k drive away…

            • +1

@caitsith01: I'm just guessing but from what I've noticed by watching Carsales is that some EV stock is hanging around dealerships for way too long (like 12 months+) so the odd one-off deal comes up to move stale stock. Because it's one-off I doubt that other deals would apply although it can't hurt to ask. $15k off this makes for a great deal.

  • IMO I wouldn't be looking at any EV that had a Lithium ION or Nickel-cobalt-manganese lithium ( like this one does)

I would only be looking for Lithium IRON Cells offered in some Chinese and a few Tesla's.

The cell failure modes and cell degradation in the first 2 above are too high.

  • With the Dynamiq, this offer only applies to V1 of the cars built in 2023 (they have an Excel spreadsheet listing all applicable VIN numbers), not the V2 built in 2024.

It took a while for the sales person to find a document showing the difference.

V1 no wireless Apple car play or android auto, but more importantly a lower power output of 149KW, vs the 168KW on the V2.

    • I don't think any Ioniq has wireless CarPlay?

      • -1

2024 V2 models have wireless car play and android auto enabled.

      • I don't think any Ioniq has wireless CarPlay?

Don't know about Ioniq, but the 2025 EV6 now has it and it shares all the same parts as Ioniq underneath.

        • -1

Nope the 2023 has the old infotainment system. From 2024 I believe they introduced the new one that supported wireless Android Auto and Apple Car play.

There's no software update for the 2023 to give it wireless. I believe it was a hardware change.

          • @0 0 0:

Nope the 2023 has the old infotainment system

            I specifically mentioned the 2025 model…

    • Nope, they downgraded the power on the V2 2024 Dynamiq as well as our cloth seats and other downgrades to introduce it at a lower price i think? Or perhaps that was just the new unnamed Ioniq 6. Anyway I can confirm the 2023 Dynamiq RWD has 168kw as I have one. I also have leather seats and HUD but no heated rear seats, no wireless mobile connectivity and no ventated seats. I do have privacy glass and 360 camera
