Revolut and Credit Cards

So I recently found out that you can use a credit card through Apple Pay to reload Revolut for a small fee (under 1%), similar to Citi PayAll, and this appears not to be charged as a cash advance as it’s blocked on my card.

Not sure if I’ve discovered something as it seems pretty odd that you can easily convert credit card limits to cash so easily.

It was fee free before Dec 2023.

Now only no fee for debit cards.

Yes but I was only charged a 0.75% fee for my credit card. Even then it’s not exactly bad value if you want to pay bills that don’t work with a card I think.

So hyperthetically you could transfer the majority of your credit limit to the revolut card and then into a high interest savings bank account for a 0.75% fee?

Earn a bit of interest on the amount at say 0.41% per month before paying back, and accrue credit card points in the process for a small fee? However the value of the points would probably be greater than the fee of 0.34%. Am I missing anything?

    • Revolut would ban these accounts as reported by one OZBer. Even for fee free, I had only done low thousands per month. When there are many violators, those practicing the extremes are getting caught.

BTW, I correct my above comment to "It was fee free before Dec 2022".

      • Ah right - good to know. Thanks

  • Tried signing up for Revolut with the link for free $30. It never sends a link to my phone. Broken or I am doing something wrong?
