Got refunded from the $5 kmart 5.3 transmitter deal because they ran out of stock =( so I ended up finding this one online at amazon
Note only single 3.5mm jack, not sure if it comes with adaptor for planes with two 3.5mm jacks

EDIT: some comments regarding delays in audio/video and mentioning that the transmitter and your bluetooth headphones should support aptX, here are some transmitters that mention it has aptX low latency support

    It does not, bought 3 from last post and only comes with the adaptor in the box

      I flew Jetstar in November and they said you could use normal headphones in either jack. Didn't test as I used my phone and wireless buds for entertainment.

    Would not recommend. Returned mine as there was such a noticeable lag watching a movie on the plane which completely defeated the purpose.

      You could try the Avantree SoundJet R2 for $64.99 - Bluetooth 5.3

      Supports aptX adaptive and low latency, can have two headphones connected (supports Apple airpods Pro) and comes with plane double prong adaptor.

      I got it on special for $50 for an overseas flight that didn't eventuate, have used it on a laptop since and works great with no discernible lag in audio.

    You get what you pay for. I ended up returning mine as there was a terrible lag in audio, when hooked up to my projector. I was lucky enough to snag the $5 Kmart deal, and it works much better than this one.

        For movie lip sync you need to have low latency Bluetooth, such as aptX codec support, which most Bluetooth headphones have. Or the newer LC3.

        For use with TV best to get one with aptX support, ensure your headphones have that too. Otherwise you are going to notice audio out of sync.

        If you have headphones with Bluetooth 5.3. You may have LC3 support. Then look for Bluetooth 5.3 transmitter that has LC3.

        It says "dual pairing" in one of the pictures which would infer that it does. You should confirm it in the user instructions though….!

        FWIW, just a bit of advice, carry on with life as usual Bub will soon get used to the noise. Bubs turn your life upside down enough without having to resort to wearing headphones to watch a movie.

        Both supports aptX. Should work with any headphone that has aptX. The included dual 3.5mm jack looks better than the typical one that used by airlines. This one looks a lot more solidly build whereas the one used by airlines are flimsy and breaks apart easily when knocked or bumped.

    I only needed to plug to one of the 3.5mm jack(without the adaptor for planes with two 3.5mm jacks) and it worked like a charm, Bluetooth to my AirPod Pro 2.
