LG 83" OLED EVO C4 4K UHD Smart TV OLED83C4PSA $6995 ($5945.75 with Perks) + Delivery ($0 C&C/ In-Store) @ JB Hi-Fi

441

Not the best deal that's been on here for this model (OLED83C4PSA), but if you have a JB Hifi Perks membership (free last time I checked), you should receive a one-day only (expires midnight 16/01/2025) coupon that nets you an extra 15% off any "Advertised/Ticket Price" for LG and other brands.

In the case of this model which is currently $1k off, that gives you an extra just shy of $1050 off.

Heads up if you've got an LG VIP account, it's $6,299.10. If you still have your Spin and Win coupon from Oct, it'll net you 10% minimum - so $5,669.19. Couple of Ifs there but another option if available.

    • Yeah i forgot to do spin and win last year which was a shame. Is it transferable by any chance?

    • It's I think about $80 more from VideoPro right now? Gosh that puts it in perspective…

I know it maybe the best price available today, but keep in mind the lowest price has been around $4.5k and if you include that cba deal, $3.6k.. maybe not see those prices again but its still a fair way off. Something to consider

not a good price at all, $5980 @ AC without perks bs, would price match that, then see if discount stacks

    • Nice - I can confirm perks discount stacks on any price matching (at least online). I price matched a Kobo one time and the guy even suggested I signed up for Perks for further discounts. Just put in the perks code at checkout from memory.

The G4 77 was 6245 up until today. They jacked it up starting today and using perks it goes up to 6795

  • Been hanging out for around $5,000. Was low $4,000 with an LG soundbar (of any types) on the 2/7/24. Still got the in cart screenshot from then with JB. Don’t expect $4,216 again, but hoping for $5k!! Regret not buying it mid year!! :-(.

    • Hand in your ozbargain card now… How could you not see that low 4k was a steal?

JB playing games with the coupon - wait till June sales if you can. BF was better than this!

You planning on watching Saturday morning cartoons?

Yes, Not only Saturday and not only cartoons

You don't need to baby it. It'll do fine. This conversation was most relevant for older oled models. For "most" people, this is now a non-issue and the tech is totally sufficient.

      • not scared of burn ins. More of if it is bright enough with the daytime glare.

        • I'm specifically refering to the brightness of oled panels, not burn in. The peak brightness nit levels have increased substantially in recent years, especially with the introduction of MLA screens.

    • As long as the sun isn't directly shining on screen it'll be okay. The G4 is better in bright room but not worth extra cost in my opinion.

Totally agree. I was thinking g4 because our brand new extension room has big windows and triple sliding doors each side. In the end risked it with the C4 and it is absolutely not an issue.
It might be with the sun directly on it, but that would be the same with most TVs.

  • Does this have the same panel as Samsungs S90D? I believed the 77"+ does not have QD-OLED here in Aus..
So would C4 or S90D be better?

    • Same - both 83’s are WOLED. The 77 s90 has the QD-OLED which is apparently better.

      • +2

I believe the s90d 77" here in Aus is WOLED, not QD-OLED

Got my 83" C4 with soundbar for around $4100 back in June '24….

    • +1

Well done buddy, don’t think we’ll see that sort of deal again as the $AUD has recently dropped. I might have to wait a while and stick to my 65”.

Just had a chat with JB Hi Fi to price match a Samsung TV. They said that once they price match, I wont be able to use PERKS 15% discount.

    $5,680 on ApplianceCentral rn https://www.appliancecentral.com.au/oled83c4psa-lg-83-inch-o… - „Today Only“

    • Anyone have any experience with AC? I feel like I've heard mixed experiences about these guys. (Which I guess can be said for almost anyone, but can't remember if they're more dodgy than others.)

      • I recently bought a c4 77 from them bundled with a soundbar. Got a little worried when I got a message that there was an error on their website (the item wasn’t in stock) and it would be a delay of 3-5 days.

Was pleasantly surprised when I got a dispatch notification after 3 days, and it arrived on a Saturday morning 2 days later (shipped from SYD to ADL).

  • this or Sony Bravia 9 or Bravia 8?

  • Nice deal. Might have to wait for RGB mini led from Hisense, Samsung and TCL.

  • I locked in the 83 C4 for $4950, with a small deposit, in the Boxing Day Sales and asked for a delayed delivery for a couple of months in case that July offer reappears (with the option of a refund before delivery)

    • Who through? That’s a great deal.
